One of the biggest news pieces of the New Year has been Michael Wolff’s book Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House.
His book details things that Steve Bannon supposedly said about Trump and his family, and details of how Trump is “intellectually incapable of being the President of the United States,” according to Wolff during an interview with BBC.
In fact, it’s during this interview with BBC that he claims: “The story that I’ve told seems to present this presidency in such a way that it says he can’t do his job, the emperor has no clothes. And suddenly, everywhere, people are going ‘Oh my God, it’s true, he has no clothes.’ That’s the background to the perception and the understanding that will finally end this – that will end this presidency.”
I would just like to remind Mr. Wolff that Hillary Clinton tried this tactic during the election. She, too, would claim that Trump is unfit for presidency. She would often make this claim and it was one of her biggest arguments against her opponent. Need I remind you how that turned out?
Multiple people have called out Wolff and his book for having untrue things within it. In one of the chapters, Wolff claims that Laura Ingraham and Rush Limbaugh tried to distance themselves from “Trumpism” and Trump himself at Roger Ailes’ funeral. Both Rush and Laura have said that that is a false statement, with Rush saying on his show that no one outside of Ailes’ family spoke during the funeral. During the memorial service? Sure. But not the funeral. And even during the service, Rush recalls that “Trumpism” was not even brought up and the topic of Trump’s presidency never came up either.
Other claims are that Melania Trump was “saddened” when her husband won the election, and that Donald Trump didn’t even want to win the election in the first place, going so far as to saying he HOPED he would lose.
If he wanted to lose, why would he tarnish his reputation with his liberal friends? If he wanted to lose, why would he be willing to lose so much money doing this? Why spend his own money during the campaign and not accept major donations? Why abandon all chance of him returning to reality t.v.? Why become one of the most polarizing figures in world history?
Not to mention that this argument by Wolff contradicts the whole Russia narrative. If he wanted to lose, why would he then collude with Russia to steal the election from Hillary?
Wolff has been called out as a liar and he thinks his book of lies will get Trump removed from office? WHAT A JOKE!
This is perhaps one of the weakest attempts at removing Trump from office. Gossip? Seriously?
According to Breitbart, Wolff described the POTUS as: “’ineffectual,’ incapable of passing legislation, implementing policy, or producing regulations.”
Well, here’s how I respond. America is in a far better shape today than it was a year ago or during any of Obama’s 8 years in office. The Dow Jones has broken multiple records, unemployment rates are hitting all-time lows, millions of jobs have been created since Trump took office, ISIS has been almost entirely defeated, taxes have been cut, people are keeping more of their money, Hollywood and media perverts are being destroyed (tell me Harvey Weinstein, a very good friend of the Democrats, would still have been ousted with Hillary as President), and the future overall looks very bright.
I would even joke about Trump actually beating global warming with the cold weather we’ve been having over the last couple of weeks, but then I’d be conceding the ridiculous point that Man can affect the climate in such a way.
Either he’s the single luckiest President to have ever worked in the Oval Office or he’s insanely efficient at his job.
“Incapable of passing legislation”. Right, that’s not up to him. That’s up to members of Congress. Tax cuts are the only major piece of legislation to pass Congress because Republicans decided not to be total jerks for once and passed it.
“[incapable of] implementing policy”. Many of the aforementioned achievements wouldn’t have even happened if he was actually incapable of implementing policy. He’s not just implementing policy efficiently, he’s also fulfilling many of the promises he made during the campaign trail. How many politicians can say they’ve done that?
“Producing regulations”. Here’s the only thing I agree on and that’s only because TRUMP DOESN’T WANT MORE REGULATIONS! In fact, much of the credit for the growing economy at 3% growth goes to the fact that Trump has been DEREGULATING businesses. And this tax cut will help to further serve that purpose, in a sense. A tax cut is a deregulation of how much (in this case, businesses) have to pay the government.
Like I said, he’s either the luckiest POTUS ever, or he’s perfectly efficient at his job.
So, no, Mr. Wolff. Your book won’t even make a dent in his status as President. But it’s good to know that that’s the intention of your book. I could easily write an entirely untruthful book about Obama with the purpose of jailing him. The ironic thing is that I wouldn’t need to lie to do that. Literally, all I would need is the TRUTH.
But this is nothing more than another attempt at undermining Trump and his presidency. In all their efforts to call him “incompetent”, “unfit for office” and “insane”, the Left has nearly lost all of their marbles. They’ve gone coo-coo for Coco Puffs. They’ve gone bananas.
Their efforts to destroy Trump have left them a shell of their former selves. Before, they had great (or at least decent) reputations and much of their sanity. Now, there aren’t enough mental hospitals in the world to admit the whole of the Left.
They’ve desperately tried and failed to destroy Trump, both before and after his election. The Democrat Party is in shambles, Hollywood is very much despised and hated (for multiple reasons, really), and the Mainstream Media’s credibility has gone up in flames.
Nancy Pelosi said that the tax cuts would be the “end of the world”. No, the end of the world, at least for Democrats, came on November 8th, 2016. But that was only the beginning of the end for them.
And no, people everywhere aren’t going “Oh my God, the emperor has no clothes.” People everywhere are going “Oh my God, the Left is done.”
And it’s not like Oprah Winfrey could save them either. All she’ll promise is more Obama policies and the country has grown tired of them. We’re doing well with Trump. There’s no way we’d let another insane Leftist in the White House when the country just got it back from them.
