Norma McCorvey, also known as ‘Jane Roe’ of Roe v Wade, died last Saturday. She is the reason we have abortion on demand in America – and abortion on demand is the reason more than 55 million unborn children have been massacred since Roe v Wade in 1973.
It’s sad that she will be remembered for this – after all the mainstream media hasn’t really reported on the fact that Norma McCorvey actually converted to Christianity and became a serious and tireless pro-life activist.
But who follows the mainstream media anyway?
McCorvey never had an abortion – a troubled life, yes. But she never had an abortion. Why on earth would she agree to participate in such a scheme which would lead to the GENOCIDE of the unborn in the US is something between her and God.
But we do know that later in life she regretted what she did and felt sorry for the fact her memory is now tied to the worst possible Supreme Court ruling in our country’s history.
I don’t know what brought her closer to God – what specifically caused her to convert. There is such thing as predestination, you know. In the Bible, in John 6:65 Jesus said ‘no one can come to me unless it is granted him by the Father’. In other words, no one has the ability to come to Jesus on his own. God must do a work in us before we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior.
Those of us who have been saved couldn’t have been saved without God the Father regenerating us in the first place. We don’t CHOOSE to be saved. God CHOOSES US, which makes it all the more special. I’m so grateful for the Grace of God – I don’t know why He chose to save me, but He did and I cannot thank Him enough.
McCorvey must have been predestined, and her choice to go along with Roe v Wade was no surprise to God.
Trust that there is a purpose
We don’t know what that purpose is – and we don’t have to know. We just need to trust.
Perhaps McCorvey was approached by pro-life advocates. Perhaps she herself managed to save a baby’s life. Perhaps that baby is going to find the cure for cancer. Or perhaps she came to Jesus after seeing a sonogram and a baby in its mother’s womb – heard its heart beat, watched it move…and then the baby was gone.
I miscarried a baby a long time ago. I was right out of my first trimester and by then I had had my first sonogram – she was moving, swimming I suppose, and I heard her heartbeats. A few weeks later I had this horrible abdominal pain, and there was blood all over…the baby was gone. Ever since then nobody has ever been able to convince me that a baby that young isn’t HUMAN LIFE.
I don’t know McCorvey’s story – and I don’t think anyone in leftist Hollywood would be interested in telling her full story based on facts. The truth doesn’t align with Hollywood’s rhetoric.
But perhaps McCorvey’s story doesn’t truly end here – obviously she’s now in Heaven so her life continues on. But in terms of her LEGACY, perhaps these pro-life groups she’d been working with will do her justice and push not only for the overturning of Roe v Wade, but also for telling McCorvey’s true story…and save more lives.
“It is the spirit who gives life; the flesh is no help at all. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life. But there are some of you who do not believe” (for Jesus knew from the beginning who those were who did not believe, and who it was who would betray him). And he said “This is why I told you that no one can come to me unless it is granted him by the Father”
