We live in a rather interesting time, don’t we? Three and a half years of a Trump presidency has made a lot of people show their true colors. Democrats have shown their overly socialistic, sociopathic side for all to see. The mainstream media has shown a complete disregard for objective journalism, opting instead to spread pro-Leftist, anti-Trump propaganda. Formerly “conservative” pundits have shown that they are total RINOs, opposing the president that is fighting for everything they had been advocating for years. And in the midst of such showing of true colors, we see some switching of party allegiances. For example, Justin Amash is a former GOP representative who left the party because of Trump and does not believe him to be a conservative in the least (he is definitely wrong, of course). Another example is Rep. Jeff Van Drew, who used to be a Democrat until his party went completely insane, particularly during the hoax impeachment trial, and is now a Republican. Well, you can add Georgia State Rep. Vernon Jones to the list of people going against their party’s wishes. According to The Hill: “Jones told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that he was not switching parties but praised Trump’s policies on certain issues.” “It’s very simple to me,” said Jones. “President Trump’s handling of the economy, his support for historically black colleges and his criminal justice initiatives drew me to endorse his campaign.” “There are a lot of African Americans who clearly see and appreciate he’s doing something that’s never been done before,” added Jones. “When you look at the unemployment rates among black Americans before the pandemic, they were at historic lows. That’s just a fact.” “A generation of African American families have been devastated by draconian policies that Joe Biden supported and voted for when he served in the U.S. Senate,” Jones added in a statement to CBS 46. “A change was needed and President Trump took action.” On Twitter, Jones shared a video officially showing his support and endorsement of the president, writing: “I’m a Georgia State Representative and lifelong Democrat. But in this election, I’ll be casting my vote for [Donald Trump]. I didn’t leave the Democratic Party. The Party left me.” In the video he shared, he also pointed out reasons as to why he and other African Americans would/should be voting for Trump, which are the same reasons as the ones listed above: lowest unemployment rate for African Americans (before the pandemic, of course, which cannot be blamed on Trump but the Left sure is trying hard to do just that), supporting historically black colleges and instituting criminal justice reform. It’s also worth noting that Trump’s opponent, Joe Biden, was one of the supporters and writers of the 1994 crime omnibus bill, which led to a great increase in incarceration for African Americans. Even Vox, the uber-Leftist news organization among Leftist organizations, noted back in June of last year: “[W]ith Biden’s criminal justice record coming under scrutiny as he runs for president, it’s the mass incarceration provisions that are drawing particular attention as a key example of how Biden helped fuel the exact same policies that criminal justice reformers are trying to reverse. For some Democrats, the 1994 law is exhibit A for why Biden can’t be trusted to do the right thing on criminal justice issues should he become president.” With Biden having been a key contributor to the writing of the law that led to one of the biggest reasons for African American families to be broken up, one can hardly blame Rep. Jones for throwing his support for Trump. Now, he does say that he is not leaving the Democrat Party, but he did write in the tweet that the Party left him (and said it in the video he shared in that tweet), while also putting the hashtag: #WalkAway, which is the movement orchestrated by former Democrats who are witnessing their party move so far to the left as to be unrecognizable from things like the Nazi Party of Germany, the National Fascist Party of Italy, or the Communist Parties of the Soviet Union and China. So it’s a bit unclear as to whether or not he is leaving the party. Though for certain, the Party has left him and is currently trashing him. Nikema Williams, chairwoman of Georgia’s Democrat Party, condemned Jones and his endorsement of the president, calling him an “embarrassment” and someone who does “not stand for our values,” having chosen to side with “a racist president who has made an all-out assault on Black Americans and has tried to rip away our health care.” You can tell she didn’t care to listen to anything Jones said, because the reasons he brings up are proof against the accusations of the insane Democrats. Trump is not racist and he is not waging an “all-out assault” against African Americans. If he was, he was doing a terrible job of it, what with helping them get jobs and give them an opportunity for upward mobility. A Democrat Party leader from a county Jones represents promised to take “action” against Jones for his endorsement of Trump, because you are not allowed to stray from the Democrat Party plantation, particularly if you are an elected Democrat. Seemingly, this isn’t the first time Jones has drawn ire from fellow Democrats, with Rep. Josh McLaurin saying: “Everybody already knew Vernon Jones wasn’t a Democrat. We knew when he hurled an anti-trans rant at Councilwoman Koontz,” noting an altercation last month between Jones and Stephe Koontz, a “transwoman” serving on the Doraville City Council. McLaurin added: “We knew when he repeatedly called human beings ‘illegals’ to rile Democrats up on purpose,” likely referring to illegal immigrants, as “human beings” in this instance is Leftist whacko code for illegal immigrants. So it seems as though Jones has hardly been all-too espoused with the ideologies of the Left, if he seemingly had an “anti-trans” altercation with the transgender councilperson (and I’m being nice by putting it as “person” instead of the appropriate and true “councilman”) and is willing to call illegal immigrants by their proper title: illegal immigrants. But it still is worth noting the changing of sides going on here, and again, Jones isn’t the first Democrat to switch sides in recent time. Van Drew outright switched Party allegiances during and after the sham impeachment trial and Jones, while he may try and remain within the Democrat Party, it is likely he will get kicked out of it for daring to go against the Democrat hivemind to “resist” Trump. Freedom of thought isn’t allowed in the Democrat Party, so they absolutely hate it when one of their own strays from their allotted script. Here’s hoping President Trump garners more African American support and defeats the senile Joe Biden come November. Proverbs 16:7 “When a man’s ways please the Lord, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.”
