Late last week, the Chinese Communist Party admitted that the Wuhan virus numbers they had been reporting for a little over a month now were not accurate. In other news, grass is green. Ok, being serious now, the real question isn’t what the actual number is (though that is one of many and I’ll get to it) but rather, why did they admit it now? Well, I would theorize that it’s likely because they can’t really hide that they are doing so poorly. According to The AP, China’s economy contracted 6.8% in the 1st quarter, though it’s probably considerably worse since their usual GDP was just about building ghost towns, as massive spending can increase the GDP, but is not real growth. But I don’t really know if that is the reason for it. I certainly don’t think it is. At any rate, according to Bloomberg News: “China has revised its official count of deaths from the coronavirus, adding some 1,290 deaths in Wuhan, the city where the virus first emerged last December. The addition, reported by state media on Friday, brings the nationwide death toll to 4,636, the majority coming from Hubei province, where Wuhan is located.” “The additional deaths were all counted in Wuhan and the late reporting of deaths are due to several reasons, said the report. The first is that some patients died at home without seeing a doctor or being tested for the virus as hospitals were overwhelmed during the epidemic’s peak.” I call b.s. about these “reasons” considering China straight-up stopped testing people for the virus some time in early March. In a city of 11 million people, 80,000 coronavirus cases shouldn’t overwhelm the hospital system (then again, these are communists we are talking about, so maybe their healthcare system is just that atrocious). I suspect the real number of cases to be somewhere in the couple million and it’s not like the CCP couldn’t hide such a large number if they wanted to, as we’ll get to in a moment. Anyway, I would also call b.s. on the official number of 1,290 deaths over the last month and a half. Back in early April, the Washington Post estimated the real figures to be around 16 times worse than what China is reporting. “The coronavirus pandemic ravaging the globe officially claimed 2,563 lives in Wuhan, where it began in a market that sold exotic animals for consumption. But evidence emerging from the city as it stirs from its two-month hibernation suggests the real death toll is exponentially higher…” “Using photos posted online, social media sleuths have estimated that Wuhan funeral homes had returned 3,500 urns a day since March 23. That would imply a death toll in Wuhan of about 42,000 – or 16 times the official number. Another widely shared calculation, based on Wuhan’s 84 furnaces running nonstop and each cremation taking an hour, put the death toll at 46,800.” The Washington Post isn’t exactly known for being all that truthful and accurate (though they are every once in a while), so for the CCP to be called out by even them is fairly noteworthy, especially as the owner of The WaPo is Jeff Bezos. Last month, the UK Daily Mail reported: “Mr. Johnson has been warned by scientific advisers that China’s officially declared statistics on the number of cases of coronavirus could be ‘downplayed by a factor of 15 to 40 times.’ And No 10 believes China is seeking to build its economic power during the pandemic with ‘predatory offers of help’ countries around the world.” So everyone from the Washington Post to Number 10 (the U.K. version of the White House, as 10 Downing street is where the PM lives) suspected the Chinese numbers to be utterly bogus and the CCP to have been under-reporting heavily. The American Enterprise Institute also has its own estimates, which are considered to even be conservative, as they give China a lot of benefit of the doubt. According to The Daily Wire: “The estimate from AEI resident scholar Derek Scissors, PhD, was included in an article published Monday night in The Wall Street Journal. The estimate found that China had at a minimum 2.9 million coronavirus cases ‘outside Hubei,’ which is the province that Wuhan is located in. Scissors used travel data that was published with the approval of the Chinese Communist Party and then lowered those numbers even further just to give China the benefit of the doubt.” Here is what Scissors wrote: “A natural reaction to figures in the low millions: China is plainly lying but not by nearly that much, because the Communist Party cannot hide 2-3 million cases. Yes, it can. Flu illnesses in the US neared 20 million before the end of January – before COVID-19 was widespread here, with two months left of flu season, and at less than one-fourth China’s population. Chinese respiratory illnesses of all kinds could easily exceed 100 million, hiding 2.9 million COVID-19 cases…” “Mortality remains sadly unsettled, but China’s size would obscure even a high rate. Hubei’s COVID-19 mortality should be quite high, due to the obvious inability to prepare and being initially overwhelmed. It is 4.7 percent. If extended over the rest of China – which is thankfully an exaggeration – that would produce 136,000 deaths over what is now more than three months. In a typical three-month period in ex-Hubei China before COVID-19, nearly 2.5 million people died. Even that many deaths would be easily obscured.” “It is the party’s intent that no estimate of Chinese COVID-19 cases can be entirely convincing. Getting to 2.9 million cases starts with information offered by state media, uses the lowest available infection rate, applies days in circulation with a deliberately reduced figure to reflect a superior Chinese virus response, then stirs in the 1.39 billion people. Or you can believe that 1.2 million travelers from ground zero of a pandemic, some freely circulating for weeks, resulted in national contagion of a little over 15,000 cases.” So even giving China as many benefits of the doubt possible in the calculation, such as taking some of their word for it (even revising down some of the official numbers) and assuming the lowest possible infection rate, the most conservative estimate has the number of total cases at 2.9 million people OUTSIDE HUBEI! And no, he’s not talking about global numbers. That Daily Wire article was written in April 14th, and Johns Hopkins University said that the virus had (officially) infected over 1.9 million people by that date. Scissors was talking about 2.9 million cases outside Hubei but still inside China. Now, if there are around 2.9 million estimated cases outside of Ground Zero of a pandemic, what exactly do you think the figure could possibly be within the Hubei province and within the city of Wuhan? Regardless of whether you would like to take AEI’s estimates at face value, there is no denying the extremely negligent (at best) response that we have seen come out of Beijing. Xi Jinping has been lying from the very start, with the help of the WHO, which is why Trump lawfully decided to freeze funding for that globalist organization (and the U.N. should be next). From lying about its origins to lying about its infectivity and how it can spread to lying about how many cases and deaths there are, the CCP is incapable of telling the truth. Even in reporting new deaths and cases, they still lie to try and maintain an air of superiority and control. If it looks like China isn’t in control of everything, its standing in the world is diminished (though plenty of Deep Staters would still try and prop them up). But again, the question is why even report these new deaths? Like Scissors said, it’s not like they can’t hide millions of cases. They also control information, so if they find that Chinese funeral homes are returning 3,500 urns and people are making public the furnaces being used non-stop, they can squash that information from being released. Let’s not forget they kicked out a lot of journalists from media sources that won’t 100% subscribe to the ChiCom agenda (or at least, journalists that Xi Jinping doesn’t trust and believe would subscribe to it, even if they would). So China is capable of withholding such information. Not to mention Western media is doing its darndest to absolve China of blame, or at least, diminish the consequences that should follow after China set the world on fire. There is, as I mentioned earlier, the economic contraction, but as I alluded to earlier, those numbers are probably worse than reported. Meaning that they can report basically whatever they want (to a certain extent). 6.8% contraction is bad (reality is probably worse) but I can’t see that as the reason for China to report more deaths, even if they are lying about how many more deaths there are. Why report more deaths at all? It’s not like these are honorable people who tell the truth. They already have a track record of lies and deceit. It’s not like they are doing this out of the kindness of their hearts. That’s a load of b.s. for a number of reasons from theological ones to historical ones. What do they gain by reporting more deaths at all? Unfortunately, I don’t have an answer to that. I doubt the Chinese were being all that pressured by people calling out their b.s. For crying out loud, they didn’t care one wit about what the world (minus shameless NBA players) said about how they treated the Hong Kong protests! So why would they care about what the world was saying about how they handled COVID-19? I know why they wouldn’t report the actual numbers. I’ve already explained what they are trying to do. But I don’t see the sense in these commies reporting any new numbers. Maybe they think it won’t do them much harm to report just a few more, so long as the number is still relatively low (and there’s no doubt anti-American journalists and media pundits will still say that China has done a better job than Trump has in handling the pandemic). What I do know, however, is that China is lying through their teeth and have been for a very long time. They are a fundamentally untrustworthy hellhole that should suffer major consequences following this pandemic, from economic sanctions to being forced to pay reparations to being kicked out of the World Trade Organization (which they shouldn’t have been allowed to enter in the first place, but that’s globalists for you). I hope China pays for what they have done. Though something tells me they won’t, at least not that much. Proverbs 22:16 “Whoever oppresses the poor to increase his own wealth, or gives to the rich, will only come to poverty.”
