I know that in the year of our Lord 2021, it hardly makes much sense to talk about Hillary Clinton, or even mention her in a title, but there is at least one thing which she and Trump have in common: they both have been betrayed by those around them.
Now, that’s not to say that I feel badly for Hillary as a result. She’s every bit the swamp rat that the people who betrayed her are. The way in which Hillary and Trump were betrayed are noticeably different.
Hillary was betrayed at different times for different reasons. Her own husband cheated on her numerous times, some of which were not in consensual relations, and betrayed his marriage vows with her. Her party betrayed her when they believed a slick, young African-American guy from Illinois would be a better leader and president for them than she would (though Obama did wreck the Democrat party after he took office). And her latest stint at running for office was only given to her because some in the DNC believed it was just “her time” to basically be coronated. Even then, the party betrayed her by not taking Trump seriously and not doing enough cheating for her (despite how much they actually did try to cheat).
President Trump, in turn, has been betrayed by a plethora of people around him, both people whom he has misguidedly chosen as part of his cabinet and people who are/were elected representatives who cozied up to the man for the clout and the money, only to turn their backs on him when the best opportunity came about.
And after the Capitol riot, even some who used to call themselves “MAGA” turned against him, choosing to side with those whom have betrayed him in an appeal to seem “in favor of law enforcement.”
Now, there are plenty of theories out there regarding the riots: namely that they were either instigated by Antifa or that the entire thing was allowed to occur by Capitol police, or some combination of just about everything. Me? I have seen videos that suggest it was a set up and videos which suggest it was real and organic. Antifa was definitely there and dressed as Trump supporters (pro-Trump rallies and protests often are met with Antifa counter-protesters but this one somehow wasn't?), but it’s hard to say just how much of a presence they had.
What I do know is that, if these were Trump supporters for the most part, I can understand why they did what they did. Generally, I think rioting is wrong, but after an entire summer of Leftists being allowed to do considerably worse to innocent people, I don’t blame the real Trump supporters that were there for doing what they did.
Throughout the summer, I saw small businesses being either looted, destroyed, burned, or some combination of the three. Wednesday, all I saw was the Swamp being swarmed. I only feel sorry for those who have been physically hurt, however many they are, and for those who may have been killed (theories suggest no one was killed and it was part of the set-up, but erring on the side of caution and grace, I will, until evidence to the contrary totally refutes me, assume that people did die). But I don’t feel sorry for the elites who were scared.
I don’t feel sorry for Mitt Romney getting so shaken up. I don’t feel sorry for the politicians who were scared here who cheered and incited the riots that occurred over the summer. I don’t feel sorry for the swamp rats which have conspired to steal our election and our country. I don’t feel sorry for the establishment rats who believe they are superior to us and who believe they ought to rule us. In my mind, they got a taste of what they deserve.
If anything, the only downside to that riot (apart from the physical damage to people, of course) is that it will embolden these people and give them ammo for ruling us with an iron fist. However, it’s not like they didn’t intend on doing so to begin with. They are thirsty for power, which is why they wrestled it away from us in this election in the manner in which they did. The riots may give them a scapegoat as to why they will do what they will do, but these sick bastards would have done those things riot or no riot.
Still, those who have the mind to it will take whatever opportunity they can from this. The communist bastards will use this opportunity to rule us harshly. The peacetime conservatives who were still among us will use this opportunity to distance themselves from Trump and Trumpism, in the hopes of still having some social presence. The establishment RINOs who were openly against Trump from the beginning will use it to validate and justify their positions. That Romney yelled at Cruz as they were fleeing the Senate floor about how “this is what you have wrought” or something like that is an indication that he feels validated for his beliefs.
On the flipside, there are also those of us who will get a clearer picture as to how to proceed and what kind of people to lead us and surround ourselves with. For example, there is Leo Terrell, who used to be a Democrat and voted for Trump in 2020 solely because of Trump, not the GOP at any capacity. He tweeted a lot on Wednesday, among which is the declaration that: “I will never support any Republican or any candidate who betrayed president Donald J Trump.”
Those of us who are loyal to Trump will remain loyal to him and his populist conservatism, wherever that may lead.
I am no longer of the belief that Trump will serve a second term, but that may be for the best for him. I could hardly imagine being betrayed so many times by so many people in one term and recognize that that was just ONE term. President Trump has done far more for America than any of the people in Washington D.C. could ever accomplish even if they wanted to (which I’m not convinced they do). And the kicker is that he absolutely did not have to do any of this. He didn’t have to go through any of this.
He very easily could have just sat back in one of his many high-class domiciles as the country fell to socialism. For a while, and likely for the rest of his own life, he would have been living very well. The Biden administration and the establishment will, once they have the WH, seek to destroy the middle class, which will be to the benefit of the upper class. He could have easily just ridden a similar wave under what would have very easily been a Hillary Clinton administration. But instead, he chose to stick his own neck out and risk the scorn of half the country if it meant he could have the chance to save all of it.
Granted, I don’t think he ever thought the pushback would ever be so fierce, and even I was taken by surprise a bit, but I don’t think he believed there would have been just about no pushback. Further, if he believed it would have been an easy ride through two terms, and was met with the hatred and vitriol that he was, he would have shrunk back and handed control of everything to the establishment. Very easily, he could have set something up or made some deal which would allow him to resign rather quietly and with some grace. That he stepped up and fought as hard as he did throughout four years is an indication that he at least was expecting some amount of resistance to what he was trying to do, even if not this much of it, or that he at least was willing to stick his neck out and not just back out of what he committed to do.
He risked his own life and wealth to Make America Great Again and people within and without the establishment have immediately or ultimately turned their backs to him. This is something we suspected for a long time, but has become very clear recently: Trump is well and truly alone in D.C. Various people around him have betrayed him, from Omarosa to Scaramucci to Sessions to Barr to Chad Wolf to Krebs and the list goes on and on. The only one I thought was actually still with Trump was Pence, and that clearly is not the case anymore.
Even if unwittingly, Pence has betrayed not only Trump, but the nation itself by certifying the illegitimate results of the 2020 election. While this article is largely about how much Trump has been betrayed, let’s not beat around the bush: Trump being betrayed means we are betrayed.
This goes well beyond President Trump. An entire country’s election has been stolen, openly, and those whom we believed would be in the way of it – the Trump-appointed SCOTUS picks as well as the conservative justices, the state legislatures in the stolen states which are run by Republicans, the Republican governors of some of these states whom rode Trump’s coattails, and even the Vice President himself – have all come to betray us and the Constitution.
I don’t know how Pence believes “freedom wins”, as he declared upon continuing with the counting of the ballots to certify an illegitimate president, when an election is openly stolen and those whom reap the rewards intend on fundamentally destroying this nation even more than they have. Pence’s “freedom” is our slavery. The Washington Establishment’s freedom is our slavery.
Thomas Jefferson is attributed with saying: “When government fears the people, there is liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny.” What we have is not a government which fears the people. What we have is a government which hates the people. What we have is a government which will do whatever they can to make us fear them.
Unfortunately for them, we have no reason to fear the government and they are incapable of providing even one. Those who fear the Lord cannot fear men. Those who fear the Lord cannot fear the government.
God has control even over the evil and wicked people. Whatever evil they may wish to do is limited by God. They will still do evil, as the fact that Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, Xi, Nero and countless other despots have been allowed to wreak havoc when and where they reigned goes to show, but even that is limited by God. Hitler sought to eradicate the Jews and he failed. Stalin sought to have the Soviet Union rule the world and he failed. Mao and Xi sought/seek to have China rule the world (you think they would be content with a globalist power which they don’t fully control?) and God-willing, will fail. Putin seeks something similar for Russia (he wants to rule the world himself, not let Xi do it) and God-willing, will fail.
Whatever the wicked people of the world, historically and presently, seek to do is all limited by God. They still do evil and incredible damage, but nothing that God cannot change or fix. The evil of slavery had its grip on this country for quite a long time, since before it was first founded, but God, through courageous and righteous men, changed that and brought physical freedom to the enslaved. God freed the hearts and souls of those who were in shackles and, eventually, freed their bodies as well.
The evil of the Holocaust and the Nazis led to the ruination and death of millions of Jews, but God, through courageous and righteous men, changed that and led them to reinstate the country of Israel for the first time in millennia.
I don’t know the plans that God has for us, but I know that they are better than my own. We are now aware of the beast that is the establishment. It’s really quite the accomplishment for Trump that it took this beast, which had been operating in the darkness for decades, to reveal itself in order to defeat Trump. And now that we are aware of the enemy, we can better prepare for them.
In 2016, we had some idea as to the size of the swamp, but believed that it was largely just the elected officials and a few bad apples in the government who needed to be drained. Now, we recognize the size of the beast, and can better prepare for it.
Had we gotten what I wanted, a massive red wave and Trump landslide, the size of the beast would have remained a secret to us and would have made it more difficult for us to fight against it, if not outright impossible. Even if it’s at the cost of Trump’s well-deserved and legitimately-earned second term, we can have a better idea as to what we are fighting than what we would have otherwise.
Which is largely why I implored that people have hope in God above all else. Originally, that article was just regarding the election itself in the hopes that we wouldn’t get a Biden presidency, but the principle works for all situations anyway.
It’s not that we should have trust in our legal systems, for they have been exposed to be very flawed at best and rigged at worst. It’s not that we should have trust in politicians, for they have shown cowardice, betrayal, or both regarding their support for not only Trump but also the American people and the Constitution. It’s not that we should have trust in even Trump himself, because he is every bit an imperfect man as you or I. It’s that we should have trust in the Lord, for He is holy, holy, holy. Only God is entirely righteous, just, fair and wise. It is His Word and His Son whom we should cling to and put our faith and trust.
Recognizing this does not, at any capacity, mean a betrayal of Trump. Bad faith actors will accuse us of being cultists, and some may even take their adulation too far (I did see on Facebook, shortly after Trump was elected, someone who said “In Trump We Trust” which is not something anyone should do or say because we cannot pretend as though Trump can replace God), but many of us trust Trump because we trust God. We trust Trump, no doubt, but we must above all else and everyone else, have trust in the Lord.
There were times when Trump was disappointing, such as when he signed those omnibus bills, but he can be excused because he is human and fallible (not to mention he never neared the level of disappointment that I have felt with regard to many people we thought were on our side). God never disappoints because He is infallible. He is not caught off guard by the actions of the people around Trump or anyone else. He saw this coming when He created the universe. So why wouldn’t any of us put our trust in Him?
Despite the pain and suffering that is sure to come in a Biden (and, quite possibly, Harris) presidency, we must never waver in our faith in God. We must place Him above all else, trust in Him above all else, and follow Him above all else.
The short-term future won’t be pretty, but I believe another like Trump will come along as being anointed by God to fight against the establishment tyrants.
To conclude this rather lengthy impassioned article, all I have to say is… PRAY AND RESIST! For with Christ, all things are possible.
“But Jesus looked at them and said, ‘With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
As everybody who’s been paying attention knows, the 2020 Presidential election is being stolen before our very eyes by the Democrats and RINOs. Like Joe Biden himself said, this has been the “largest voter fraud” in American history. We all know it, and while the Courts have refused to take a look at the evidence, we still have the opportunity to restore this Republic, beginning today.
For better or for worse, Vice President Mike Pence is the most powerful man on the planet for the next couple of days – in his hands is the fate not only of our Republic, but very likely of the world. A world where China’s the dominant super-power, as a Biden Administration would guarantee, is a very dangerous and evil world. This is truly the battle between good and evil.
There have been all sorts of rumors about Pence’s loyalty to the President, about his faith (whether it’s real or not) and about his loyalty to the very Oath of Office he took when becoming Vice President four years ago. Some people don’t trust him, some do and say he’s a Godly man who will do the right thing. And the right thing, as we all know, is to stop the steal.
It takes a courageous man, with full trust in God, to do the right thing. Mike Pence is positioned today the same way David was positioned to face Goliath. As you know, David was only a teenager when his dad sent him over to take his brothers some food while they were in battle. King Saul and his army were gathered to fight the Philistines, but for 40 days a Philistine named Goliath had challenged them to send one Israelite soldier to fight him personally and whoever won would enslave the enemy. The Bible says Goliath was a giant, about 6-foot-9-inches tall. He was impressive and scary and very heavily armed. Nobody, including Saul who was already famous for his skills in battle and, standing at 6 ft, the tallest and strongest man in Israel, had the courage to face Goliath. Nobody…until a very young and small David came along.
For 40 days Goliath stood and shouted to the ranks of Israel “Why have you come out to draw up for battle? Am I not a Philistine, and are you not servants of Saul? Choose a man for yourselves and let him come down to me. If he’s able to fight with me and kill me, then we will be your servants. But if I prevail against him and kill him, then you shall be our servants and serve us”.
Saul and his men were terrified as Goliath mocked them day in and day out. But when David saw how cowardly Saul and his men were behaving, he couldn’t believe it. David was resolute. He never doubted God’s favor. He knew anybody in Israel would defeat Goliath if only they trusted God. Anybody. They just didn’t trust God…but you know how the story ends: David easily beat Goliath with a slingshot and Goliath’s own sword. And he did it because he trusted God would deliver him. Remember David’s words? “Who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?” David was embarrassed at the lack of faith of his compatriots but was certain God would deliver Israel. His faith is what gave Israel the victory. Today we should say the same thing about Biden and his co-conspirators: Who are these unrepentant traitors that they would defy the armies of the living God?
VP Pence, as the President of the Senate, will have his own story to tell – either it’ll be that of a fearful Saul, or of a faithful David. He has plenty of ammunition and God’s favor to defeat the Left’s coup attempt, as Legislators in the State Legislatures and Federal judges seem to be as scared as Saul’s men were – the question is, is he going to use them?
As the President of the Senate, Pence has plenary and unappealable powers to make decisions. There are 6 states in dispute. These states have sent 2 slates of electors – one for Biden and one for Trump – and only the electors for Biden were certified by the governors. As has been announced, GOP Representatives together with GOP Senators will object Biden’s certified electors.
So what can Mike Pence do?
According to the Constitution, Pence “shall, in the presence of the Senate and House of Representatives, open all the certificates and the votes shall then be counted.”
Pence has plenary powers to decide which electors to count, and he has the power to reject fraudulently chosen electors. He can choose to discard all electors, Trump’s and Biden’s, from the disputed states, or he can choose to count Trump’s. He can also choose to ignore the Electoral Count Act of 1887, which Republicans have insisted since its passing that it’s unconstitutional, or he can trigger a contested election. Not only is there Constitutional backing for these options, but there’s also historical precedents such as the election of President Thomas Jefferson or JFK:
It takes a GODLY man of courage, like David, to do the right thing. Today and in the days ahead, we’ll know if Pence is truly godly, or if he’s a coward like King Saul. May God give Pence the courage that he needs to save this Republic.
1 Samuel 17:51-52
“Then David ran and stood over the Philistine and took his sword and drew it out of its sheath and killed him and cut off his head with it. When the Philistines saw that their champion was dead, they fled. And the men of Israel and Judah rose with a shout and pursued the Philistines as far as Gath and the gates of Ekron, so that the wounded Philistines fell on the way from Shaaraim as far as Gath and Ekron.”
Much as Leftists might try and delude themselves into believing Kamala Harris is in any way a competent or even likable person, there is no question as to who won the vice presidential debate: VP Mike Pence.
And you know that this is the case because of the various excuses the fake news media is throwing as well as the various distractions they are trying to make, such as attempting to make a huge story about how a fly was on Pence’s head or how one of Pence’s eyes was a little red or how Karen Pence went up to her husband to congratulate him without wearing a mask (because why would she? He is her husband). They have to distract people from thinking that Kamala was utterly destroyed because that is exactly what we saw, so these excuses have to come out in droves.
However, predictably so, the biggest excuse to come out of this debate is that Pence is at fault for debating a woman and that he is a sexist for “mansplaining” things to her, which is code for simply pushing back against the b.s. she was trying to spew. In the mind of the Left, Pence had to take everything Harris threw at him without any sort of pushback whatsoever in order to stave off being called a sexist. Of course, had he done that, they still would’ve called him that for the briefest of moments, but they would’ve focused more on how “Kamala Harris wiped the floor with VP Pence.”
Again, an indication that that is exactly what DIDN’T happen is that that’s not the topic of conversation. Had she won, all the fake news media would be talking about would be about how she won, not about how Pence was “condescending” or “mansplaining” or “sexist”, which is utterly ludicrous considering Mike Pence is one of the politest politicians around.
They levy the same accusations at Pence that they did at Trump in 2016, when Trump was debating Hillary. Back then, they also accused him of “sexism” and utter crap like that (because Hillary also lost her debates) and now, they are just repeating the same thing but about Pence.
Ironically, while you can reasonably claim that Trump is abrasive and that can come off as rude (this is where I should remind people that in the first debate, Joe Biden was the first one to interrupt Trump), you absolutely cannot make the same claim of Mike Pence, who never shows an aggressive side or anything of the sort.
So to say that Pence was “out of line” or was “rude” or whatever else is utterly divorced from reality, not that that’s any surprise considering the people making these claims also claim that a baby in the womb is not a human, that binary gender is not biological fact, and that our air conditioning systems are warming up the planet or cooling it down whenever one argument is more favorable (which is usually in the corresponding seasons).
It actually reminds me of something interesting. I have been recently re-watching The Apprentice, beginning with the first season, and one aspect of the people (specifically some of the women) in the show that I noted is that they are very rude, classless individuals. This was the season where that moron Omarosa appeared, and throughout it, she displayed an utter lack of class (though others did as well). It actually got me to wonder how it was that Trump ever thought of hiring her in his administration in the first place, but I digress.
The reason I bring this up is because one thought that ran around as I was watching the show is that you can completely destroy someone else while also having and displaying class. The fictional character on the show “Dynasty”, Alexis Carrington, is such an example, someone who was often outright called a “superbitch” but who never failed to show class when tearing apart those she considered to be opponents.
That’s not to say that Mike Pence is Alexis Carrington, or that he is a “superbitch”, but that is to say that he destroyed his debate opponent without sacrificing his class or dignity. Keep in mind, I’m also not saying that Trump sacrifices dignity or anything, but his more abrasive style does make one think he has less class than someone like Pence (though if one watches The Apprentice, one can see that he does, indeed, have plenty of class).
Kamala getting decimated should not really be a surprise to anyone. I remember vividly how some idiots on the Left believed Kamala would “destroy” Pence in their debate, which confused me considering the fact that she got so obliterated by Tulsi Gabbard, someone the vast majority of people on the Left really don’t like because they think she was a Republican spy or something, and shortly after suspended her campaign, being the first Democrat to do so.
She is a woman utterly rejected by the Democrat base and someone who was decimated totally by the only Democrat I relatively tolerated in that entire primary, and yet, she was going to destroy Pence? Her, a woman whose sole qualifications for being a running mate, to the acknowledgement of Jim Crow Joe, are being brown and having a vagina? Give me a break.
She went into that debate completely unprepared, ready to spout out talking point after talking point and hoax after hoax, hoping that it would be a 2-on-1 like the first presidential debate was, and when Pence masterfully destroyed her arguments, she began to condescendingly smirk and dismiss Pence, to the point where even an independent pollster (who believes Biden is winning the election) recognized that Harris came off extremely poorly here.
People were reminded, in that 90-minute debate, just why it was that Kamala was the first person to end her primary campaign: she’s a horrible debater and people don’t like her. The first point is the most relevant one out of the two, but it’s worth reminding people how unlikable she is. She is basically the Jamaican version of Hillary Clinton, if Clinton had considerably less power and her family directly benefited from slave ownership.
And because of that, fake news pundit after fake news pundit came out lambasting Pence for debating a woman, as though it’s his fault that Joe Biden chose Harris for no other reason apart from her skin color and gender (something which normal people would consider racist and sexist but liberals consider “woke”). “Mike Pence is a sexist!” screams the ignorant, petulant Leftist child who is so entitled that he believes a man effectively debating a woman is some sort of cardinal sin.
Matt Walsh of The Daily Wire points this out perfectly well: “[A]s we have learned time and again, feminists actually want special treatment even while clamoring for equal treatment.” These rabid Leftists shout “sexism” at Pence treating his debate opponent as a debate opponent and not as a delicate little flower whom should be protected from the evils of the world.
These “feminists” are whining about the very thing that they claim to support: equality. Pence treated Harris as an equal, not underestimating her because she’s a woman or because she has a different skin tone to him. That, in the mind of the hypocritical liberal, cannot be allowed to stand. Leftist women must be treated like queens while conservative women, though they also are women, can be treated like utter garbage. This much is clear in their coverage of women like Kayleigh McEnany, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Melania Trump, Sarah Palin, etc., etc.
They don’t support equality whatsoever. They support Leftist supremacy under the guise of equality. If a black man supports Trump, he is a race traitor. If a woman supports Trump, she is a traitor to her gender. If a Latino supports Trump, he is betraying his Latinx (have I mentioned how much I hate that word?) brothers and sisters. This is their mentality because they believe blacks, Latinos, women and minorities in general all belong to them. They never abandoned the slaveowner’s mentality.
And when they see an old, white man effectively decimating their young, brown queen, despite her own clear faults and lack of preparedness for the debate, they screech about the “patriarchy” and how this is an example of it running rampant in politics.
It’s, yet again, nothing but a massive temper tantrum. Pence destroyed Harris and let me tell you something: if Kamala were Trump’s conservative VP and Pence were Biden’s communist running-mate, aka if the roles were completely reversed, the news media would be attacking Kamala for some of the same reasons I just described: she’s a race and sex traitor.
Their exclamations that Kamala was unfairly attacked by Pence because she is a brown woman are full of crap because we all know what would’ve happened had the roles been reversed.
Pence decimated Harris. This much is clear given the Left’s neurotic and nonsensical response.
“With God we shall do valiantly; it is he who will tread down our foes.”
This is something I have said before, but it bears repeating: the Left HATES Christians, hates Christianity, hates Jesus and hates anyone who follows Him, believing such people to be nothing but foolish and naïve science deniers who believe in fairy tales. They loathe our worship of the Lord and view it with nothing but contempt and mockery.
That is the precise response some Leftists in the mainstream media had to President Trump appointing Vice President Mike Pence to lead the Coronavirus Task Force and to Vice President Pence praying alongside the CTF in a photo (above).
The New Yorker, after President Trump appointed VP Pence to lead the Coronavirus Task Force, shared a cartoon of the Vice President with the caption: “We remind everyone that the first defense against this outbreak is vigorous handwashing and repentance.”
Days later, a contributing writer for The NYT Magazine tweeted out the picture of Pence and the CTF praying, stating: “Mike Pence and his coronavirus emergency team praying for a solution. We are so screwed.”
Do you see how little these heathens think of Christians and those who pray to God? Funny how they would never dare say the same if they saw a picture of Muslims praying to Allah about the same thing. They would applaud their commitment to their religious beliefs, but when Christians pray to the Lord, we are mocked. Not that this comes as any surprise.
These godless people do not understand the power of prayer. They outright mock it whenever a mass shooting occurs (which is nowhere near as often as they would want us to believe) and people offer prayers for those affected. They are devoid of any sense of reverence to God in their unbelief, somehow believing that everything came to be out of pure chance, and have the nerve to claim that we are the illogical ones for believing in God.
Verses such as Philippians 4:6: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God,” and Mark 11:24: “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours,” and others that highlight the power of God through prayer are utterly meaningless to these people.
They legitimately believe that we came from MONKEYS despite all of the massive holes in Darwin’s theory and even its origin, and yet, do not believe in the God of the Universe.
It’s worth pointing out that, obviously, prayer is not the only thing the vice president and the CTF are doing. Unlike what some Leftists might sarcastically suggest, they are not “praying the virus away”, or at least, that’s not all they are doing. They are praying to the Lord, who has total and absolute control over everything that happens, that He give them strength in dealing with this, wisdom in how to tackle it, and success in minimizing the influence and effect of the virus so that as many people may survive it and so that this can be put behind us.
The seventh question of the Westminster Confession of Faith asks “what are the decrees of God?” The answer is: “The decrees of God are, His eternal purpose, according to the counsel of His will, whereby for His own glory, He hath foreordained whatsoever comes to pass.” This means that God has, for His eternal purpose and His own glory, preordained whatever comes to pass, such as a coronavirus outbreak. It wouldn’t happen if God did not ordain for it to happen. That is not the same as saying God caused it or it’s His fault, because God is the Healer, whereas Satan is the destroyer. However, He has allowed it and the Vice President, as well as the others in that picture, understanding the power of the Lord, are praying that He give them the tools to deal with it and that He would allow for this virus to be defeated.
And while I know that the Westminster Confession of Faith is a Presbyterian document, I don’t think too many Christians would disagree with the notion that God is absolutely in control of everything that happens, because if even one molecule in this universe were not under the complete and utter control of God, He would cease to be God.
Unfortunately, this is where many on the Left and general unbelievers would retort with “if God is so good then why does He allow these things to happen” which can be difficult sometimes to explain. I couldn’t imagine trying to explain to someone who has suffered throughout their life why God, who is so good, or is regarded by Christians as being so good, would allow for such suffering to happen. The best I could imagine myself doing would be pointing out the story of Joseph, how he was betrayed by his brothers, hated by them, thrown into a pit, be rescued by them only to be then sold into slavery, be falsely accused of trying to have sexual intercourse with his master’s wife and be thrown into prison for years and how if anyone had any “right” to be angry at God, it was him, and yet, he never abandoned his faith in God. Eventually, as we all know, through the path that he took, despite how rocky it was, Joseph became the second-leading ruler of Egypt only behind Pharaoh, and saved millions of lives as a result of that appointment.
The point of that is to say that, even when things are at their bleakest and we wonder where God is, we have to remember that God is there, working behind the scenes, for our good. Some may look at what’s happening with the coronavirus and mock Pence and the others for praying to a God who would allow this to happen, but the VP and other fellow Christians know the goodness and the love of God, know who He is and that He wouldn’t allow for this to happen for no reason. Whether that reason be an individual one where someone with the virus or someone who has family with the virus turns to the Lord and repents of their sins, or a larger reason, such as forcing companies to understand the perils of being so dependent on a communist nation that can’t do jack to protect itself and turn away from it to keep their businesses from being hurt like that in the future. I mean, 80% of our medicine comes from China! Maybe this will force some businesses to reevaluate their desire to work with the Chinese and focus on other countries (if not the U.S.).
People who do not know the Lord look at us Christians in contempt and think of us as monkeys who believe in fairy tales. They think prayer, despite the power that it has, is completely worthless. But God, as previously stated, is the one in control. It is through Him that anything at all happens. And God is delighted when His children pray to Him, asking for salvation of their soul or simply to be strong in the face of trouble.
We pray, not because we are without hope, but because we are full of hope, knowing the goodness of God. We humble ourselves before Him, bowing our heads to Him in prayer. The simple looks at these actions and thinks little of them, while God looks at them and is delighted.
Do I know what will happen with this coronavirus? No. I am not God, after all. However, we know from Romans 8:28 that “God works all things together for the good of those who love Him, who are called according to His purpose.” Like Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, we will obey the Lord and trust that He will deliver us from earthly perils, and that even if He doesn’t, we will not be shaken in our faith.
Those three were threatened to be thrown into a blazing fire so hot that it killed the Babylonian guards that were trying to put them in there. The only thing that burned upon being thrown into the fire was the rope that bound them together, with Nebuchadnezzar questioning why there were four people in the cauldron and not three, with the extra person looking like one who was like “the Son of God”.
We trust in the Lord and His ways, knowing that they are greater than ours, and thus, we pray to Him both in times of great need and of great abundance; in times of suffering and times of joy. I am so glad that Vice President Pence is a man of faith, one who knows God and His goodness, and leads his CTF team in prayer while searching for ways to mitigate the problem.
God is good; remember that.
“When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles.”
It’s nothing new to know that when a liberal man does something nice for women, they get praised. It’s also not new to know that when a conservative man does the same, he gets criticized and is labeled a sexist.
What exactly am I talking about here? The double-standard that exists when a conservative man and liberal man both treat a woman with care and respect, yet the conservative guy gets bashed and liberal guy gets praised.
A story on the Daily Wire depicts the time when former “Friends” star David Schwimmer was interviewed by a female critic. The title: “David Schwimmer Did Something Awesome To Make A Female Critic Feel Comfortable. The Media Cheer Him. So Why Did They Target Mike Pence?”
It begins: “On Tuesday, critic Nell Minow revealed a little-known story about former Friends star David Schwimmer – a story that shows how classy Schwimmer is, and how hypocritical the Leftists in the media are… Schwimmer was doing a press junket for his film ‘Poynter’. She was supposed to interview Schwimmer in the bar of the hotel, but it was too loud, so Schwimmer offered to do the interview in his room.”
According to Indy 100 (the source for the Daily Wire article): “Perhaps realizing that this might be an uncomfortable and potentially dangerous situation for a woman, Schwimmer added that he could guarantee that a third person would be present in the room… Nell didn’t feel threatened and declined Schwimmer’s offer but appreciated the star’s sensitivity and consideration.”
Schwimmer clearly did the right thing. He offered a better place to have the interview and made sure that his female critic didn’t feel threatened or in danger, and thus offered that a third party be present with them to alleviate the critic. I praise him for it, as does the media. Particularly given the Harvey Weinstein bombshell that hit Hollywood a couple of weeks ago.
However, at this point you may be asking “where’s the double-standard you were talking about earlier?” Well, for that, let’s continue with the Daily Wire article.
The article, after praising Schwimmer themselves, continues with: “Flash back to April. Vice President Mike Pence found himself raked over the coals for the sin of stating that he would not dine alone with a woman not his wife, or attend functions at which drinking took place without his wife present.”
Pretty noble, if I dare say so myself. He makes sure to respect women by not dining alone with them without his wife present and refuses to go anywhere that might include drinking if his wife wasn’t with him there either. He doesn’t want to make his female counterpart feel nervous or scared. He doesn’t want to run the risk of hurting someone else by requiring himself to be with his wife at such events.
He’s quite the gentleman, isn’t he? Worthy of at least a thumbs up or an approving nod if you can’t bring yourself to say something nice about the VP, right? Wrong, apparently.
According to the Los Angeles Times: “If professional women and men cannot be alone together, women are the ones who will pay a price. They will not have the kind of mentoring that promotes workplace advancement. They will not develop the same kinds of relationships with bosses that their male colleagues do. They will lose out. ‘I believe this is gender discrimination,’ said Kim Elsesser, 52, a UCLA lecturer on gender and psychology who founded a proprietary quantitative hedge fund at Morgan Stanley after graduation from Vassar and MIT.”
And according to The Atlantic: “When men avoid professional relationships with women, even if for noble reasons, it actually hurts women in the end.”
Yep, Mike Pence is discriminating against women when he prefers to not make them feel unsafe, but Schwimmer is a perfect gentleman when he does the same. Not to take anything away from Schwimmer - his actions were praise-worthy. But when a conservative man wishes to respect women in that particular manner, why is it considered sexist?
There’s not just a conservative-liberal double-standard, but also a man-woman double-standard. In the Times article, the author talks about men and women not being able to be alone together affecting the woman but not the man. But that’s only assuming that the man is the mentor and the woman the mentee. What if the roles are reversed? What if a 20-something year old guy wants to be mentored by, say, Jennifer Aniston and she says no? Is that discrimination against the guy? Of course not!
The Left makes victims of women, so they are the only ones that can be discriminated against. Same thing happens when race is involved. So there’s a double-standard to how they react when a guy is “discriminated against” and when a woman is “discriminated against.”
It’s the same (though slightly different) when it’s a conservative and a liberal guy. Schwimmer made sure to make the female critic feel safe and was praised for it (as he should be), but when Pence says he doesn’t want to be alone with a woman other than his wife and wants to be a perfectly fine gentleman, he’s bashed and attacked for “discriminating against women.”
The Daily Wire summed it up perfectly: “If they participate in precisely the same behavior, religious conservatives do it because they’re supposedly sexist, and secular Leftists do it because they’re supposedly glorious and caring.”
It doesn’t surprise me that the media reacted the way they did about Pence’s decision to be A GOOD GUY. He will never be a good guy in their eyes. Everything he does must be for a malicious reason, even if it’s clearly not. He could donate baskets of muffins to a children’s hospital and they would think he’s poisoning the muffins and killing sick children.
It’s beyond the Isaiah 5:20 verse about people calling evil “good” and good “evil”. It’s people calling good “good” only when a liberal does it but calling it “evil” when a conservative does it.
To the Left, anything we ever do is considered evil. Why else do you think those college students I talked about last week thought Trump’s plan was bad before they even heard it? They thought it was going to be bad simply because it had the word “Trump” next to it. They thought it was going to damage the middle and lower classes and benefit only the rich - a lie that the Leftist media continues to spew no matter what.
I don’t expect this to ever end, which is why I added “constant” in the title. I don’t expect the Left to ever come to their senses, admit to their hypocrisy and sinful and evil nature. I’d be the most naïve person in the world to expect as much. But it’s important that I (as well as other conservatives) write articles like these to highlight the hypocrisy and disgust of the Left as much as I can. I may not be able to convince Obama or Hillary to progressively become more conservative, but I can convince people outside the Establishment to be more conservative, and therefore, be closer to Christ.
And in the end, that’s really the main goal of this site. To tell you the Truth and call out lies, deceit and overall evil in the world.
“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God.”
We bring you the TRUTH that the Left denies you. You'll live a more joyful and victorious life, because the Truth will set you free...
