Late this past Monday, President Donald Trump met with North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un in a historic summit in Singapore. In this meeting, the North Korean dictator signed an agreement to begin working towards denuclearization of the Korean peninsula. While this is a good sign for the future, it’s not necessarily a guarantee. Not to burst anyone’s bubble here, I am very happy with this summit, believe it to be a major achievement for Trump and the world – and I’ll explain why I think Trump did a lot of things right in his approach – and I am hopeful for the future for a number of reasons, but I simply must remain cautious regarding this deal. Previous promises and deals have been made in the past (not quite like this one, however) in which the dictator of North Korea verbally promised to denuclearize. They have been promising that for ages but they never made good on that promise. Like with Republicans promising to end Obamacare, the North Korean dictators have promised to denuclearize in the past and failed to keep that promise. However, part of the reason I can be hopeful about this being different is that Kim Jong-un might not be the same as his father and grandfather. Make no mistake, their whole family is horrible, but you occasionally have a generation of people who don’t want to follow the same guidelines set forth by their previous generation. I’ll still remain skeptical over this, since Kim Jong-un is still the leader of a nation that has enslaved its people and maintains an iron grip on their throats, but he could be different enough from his father and grandfather to actually seek peace and not start World War III. Now, Daily Wire Editor-in-Chief Ben Shapiro wrote an article about the summit either being a masterstroke by Trump or a bad debacle that may lead us nowhere. In this article, he wrote three reasons why we shouldn’t celebrate this whole thing just yet. The first thing is in regards to not getting any serious concessions from Kim. Like I mentioned above, there’s the possibility for this being different due to Kim’s new generation. But that isn’t everything I’m banking on for the success of this summit for the benefit of the future of the world. I’m also banking on the fact that Kim got first-hand experience in dealing with Donald Trump before this summit. One of Shapiro’s concerns with Trump’s attitude towards Kim Jong-un is that the leader of the free world is legitimizing a dictator and equating him with other world leaders. I don’t see it that way. When it comes to Donald Trump, I have learned that he always thinks a few steps ahead. During this summit, President Trump said that it was a “great honor” to meet Kim, adding that Kim is “very talented” and “very smart”, as well as a “very good negotiator.” He gave credit to the dictator in making the Olympics a “tremendous success by agreeing to participate.” He ended by saying that “his country does love him. His people, you see the fervor.” The only thing I did not like about what Trump said is that Kim’s people love him. They love him in the same way that a captured person with Stockholm’s syndrome loves their captors. He’s a brutal dictator that forces fake love out of his people, else they go to the gulags. However, while Ben Shapiro sees this as a pathetic show of diplomacy, I see it as something entirely different. I see it as “this is who I can be to you if you play ball.” What do I mean? After Kim Jong-un started making threats against the U.S. and its allies, Donald Trump pushed back with equal or greater force. He showed Kim that he is not someone he wants as an enemy. He showed Kim that he is not spineless like Obama. That the POTUS was done bending over backwards to appease allies and enemies alike. In this summit, Trump acted as though he and Kim Jong-un were best friends. I don’t see that as a bad thing whatsoever. The message Trump is sending, in my opinion, is that he can be Kim’s worst enemy (as evidenced by his behavior in the past) or Kim’s best friend. Treat him and the U.S. right, with respect and honesty, and Trump can be your biggest friend and supporter. But treat him and the U.S. wrong, with disrespect and lying about these promises, and Trump can be your worst nightmare. This is the way he treats everyone. Canada, Europe, Mexico, Russia, whatever. If you remember, Trump met Kim shortly after leaving the G7 summit. He showed more respect and friendliness to Kim than to America’s allies. Again, I don’t see this as a bad thing. During the G7 summit, he showed that if our friends aren’t fair with us, we won’t be fair with them. During the NK summit, he showed that if our enemies are friendly with us, we will be friendly with them. This is demonstrated by the tariffs Trump has imposed on Canada and other countries. This is the kind of diplomacy that we like seeing from Trump. Now, returning to the North Korean dictator, like I said in the title, I shall remain hopeful but cautious. Kim Jong-un hasn’t shown much in regards to his trustworthiness. He did promise to cease nuclear ballistic missile tests until the summit, and he stayed true to that promise. However, Reagan puts it best in these sort of situations: “Trust, but verify.” In reality, we have little to no reason to trust Kim, but we should. However, we should also ensure that he does stay true to this new deal. And that is something that I can be certain Trump will employ as well. Matthew 7:12 “So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets."

During the first few days of the Winter Olympics in South Korea, Kim Jong-un’s sister, Kim Yo-jong, was in attendance and, according to multiple MSM sources, she “stole the show away from VP Mike Pence”, who was also in attendance. The New York Times writes: “Kim Jong-un’s Sister Turns On The Charm, Taking Pence’s Spotlight.” Yes, that was the title of their article. The article says that news outlets in the South instantly called her “’North Korea’s Ivanka,’ likening her influence to that of Ivanka Trump on her father, President Trump.” If she has any sort of influence on the insane, murderous dictator, she must not be a very good influence. Of course, this article manages to sidle up to the North Korean regime and slam the President at the same time. “Flashing a sphinx-like smile and without ever speaking in public, Ms. Kim managed to outflank Mr. Trump’s envoy to the Olympics, Vice President Mike Pence, in the game of diplomatic image-making.” We can see the Left is salivating over some sort of North Korean “victory” over the U.S. and the media will go to any length to look for it. “While Mr. Pence came with an old message – that the United States would continue to ratchet up ‘maximum sanctions’ until the North dismantled its nuclear arsenal – Ms. Kim delivered messages of reconciliation as well as an unexpected invitation from her brother to the South Korean president, Moon Jae-in, to visit Pyongyang, the North Korean capital.” A message of reconciliation? How exactly does what she did offer such a thing? “Hey, South Korea, I know that we’ve been threatening you guys with nukes for decades and have often sought to start a third World War and that anyone in North Korea, including myself, is subject to execution at the mere whim of the Supreme Leader, but let’s just forget the decades of atrocities my country has committed to its own people and the South Koreans we abduct at the border. Water under the bridge, eh?” Give me a break. Besides, let's face it - the ONLY reason North Korea wanted to team up with South Korea for these Games is it's the ONLY way North Korea would be applauded AT ALL!!. South Koreans were applauding their OWN athletes! If North Korean athletes had walked on their own, what do you think might have happened? Maybe they might have gotten booed? North Korea clearly didn't want to take any chances and the South fell for it. Then, the article goes on to further attack Pence, saying: “And while the unified Korean Olympic team received a standing ovation as they marched into the stadium Friday night, Mr. Pence remained seated, which critics said was disrespectful of the athletes and his host, Mr. Moon.” Since when does the MSM care if someone stands and applauds for someone or something? During the State of the Union address they certainly didn’t care that Democrats didn’t stand for black unemployment being at an all-time low. They didn’t stand for the economy growing at unprecedented rates. They didn’t stand to honor the families of children slain by members of MS-13. But they care that Pence didn’t stand to applaud the Korean Olympic team? Why would he? Who roots for a competing country in such an event? He wants American Olympians to win the gold. He roots for Team USA. Despite the fact that we’re allied with the South, why would we root for them to beat our guys? This is a COMPETITION! But you see, he doesn’t stand for something he didn’t have to stand for and the Left attacks him. Meanwhile, Democrats don’t stand for something every red-blooded American should stand for and the media doesn’t bat an eyelid. The article then quotes a University of Connecticut professor (because the Left believes these people to be the smartest in the world): “I think it would have been really helpful to the conversation of denuclearization for the Pences to have appreciated the effort put into bringing team unified Korea into the stadium. And it wouldn’t have lessened the American position.” So standing for that team would’ve gotten Little Rocket Man to denuclearize his country? You have to have a childish ambition and imagination to believe such a thing would happen. But the professor’s not done. She (the professor is a woman) then said: “The fact that he and Mrs. Pence didn’t stand when the unified team came in was a new low in a bullying type of American diplomacy.” Seriously? Not standing is considered bullying now? Then care to explain the continuous bullying from the Democrats for not standing for anything that is Making America Great Again? By this logic, weren’t the Democrats bullying Trump? You really have to have a victim mentality to believe such inaction to be considered “bullying”. The article then continued to praise Kim Jong-un’s sister (a phrase I can’t believe I’m actually saying): “Her quietly friendly approach while in South Korea… seemed to endear her to some observers.” And it’s not until plenty late in the article that the New York Times casually mentions the brutality of the North Korean regime: “Others said they were horrified by the notion that Ms. Kim could lull South Koreans, or anyone else, into forgetting the North’s repression and human rights abuses.” It’s not abuse of human rights. It’s ANNIHILATION of human rights. The people of North Korea have no human rights. Any sort of misstep on their part that serves to piss off anyone with any sort of power will result in that person’s imprisonment, forced labor and potential execution. The people of North Korea have no rights, thanks to the communist regime. If any moronic liberal wants to see what full-on communism looks like, I’d be happy to point them to North Korea. That is full-on communism. A place where people are not people is a place ruled by communism. The people of North Korea are not people – they’re slaves to the communist regime. They may not don metal chains, but they don mental chains. Emotional chains. Psychological chains. Legal chains. They are bound to communism not just by the law of North Korea but by the state of mind of the people. I doubt if North Korea were to make a 180 degree turn to capitalism that the people would know what to do. They have no idea what being free means. For generations, these people have lived under the worst form of communism. The people belong to the state, not to themselves. So then, I must ask, are you really so surprised that the MSM would side with the North Koreans over America? After all, they ignore the fact that Kim Jong-un was the one who threatened us first and blame rising tensions on Trump as though he is the one who made the first threat. Another Leftist media source, ThinkProgress already misquotes Trump’s speech at the U.N., saying that he vowed to “totally destroy” North Korea. They willingly ignore the part where Trump said he would totally destroy North Korea “if [America] is forced to defend itself or its allies.” He wasn’t making a threat to North Korea. He was making a promise. If they attack first, there will be no more North Korea. But the Left is making him out to be the dangerous lunatic going around threatening people. Again, are you surprised the Left supports North Korea? KIM IS EXACTLY WHAT THE LEFT WANTS TO BE IN AMERICA! The Left would KILL to get the power Kim Jong-un has. They dream of being able to turn America into a completely communist nation. A nation that owns its people. A nation where the people belong to the state. That’s exactly what the Democrats want and even showed in an ad during the 2012 election, where the narrator said: “the government is the only thing we all belong to.” The funny thing is that Mussolini said something very similar in the book La Dottrina del Fascismo: “All is in the state and nothing human exists or has value outside the state.” That’s the reality Mussolini lived in. That’s the reality Kim Jong-un lives in. And that’s the reality that the Democrats, as evidenced by the campaign ad, want to live in. One last time. Are you really so surprised that the Left favors the evil communist North Korean regime over the good capitalist American nation? Revelation 21:8 “But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.” An article written on mcclatchydc.com says that “America no longer sees Kim Jong Un as a joke.” The reasons they give is the fact that North Korea says they have miniaturized nuclear warheads and is capable of striking the U.S. After the Washington Post reported that a U.S. intelligence assessment concluded that fact, the President decided to respond with a position of power by saying that if North Korea’s threats don’t stop, they “will be met with the fire and fury (of the United States) like the world has never seen.” Of course, that infuriated the Left because he’s not employing Obama’s tactic of begging North Korea to “please not do that” like a kid being picked on in school. In the article on mcclatchydc.com, they speak of Kim’s accomplishments since taking power after his father’s death in 2011. One of which is saying that the little chubby dictator has “improved North Korea’s economy, in spite of international sanctions.” Oh, so families can now afford TWO pieces of bread for dinner now? Fantastic! But seriously, the Left will write about how NORTH KOREA’S economy has improved under Kim but not about how Trump has CREATED 1 MILLION JOBS SINCE TAKING OFFICE AND HELPED THE DOW JONES BREAK RECORDS! Later on in the article, they write about how U.S. Pacific Forces Commander Admiral Harry Harris Jr. testified before Congress and said that “North Korea conducted about 60 ballistic missile tests in recent years, and it was the only country to have tested devices this century.” May I point out the fact that 1) they are a small communist country and are so insanely poor that ONLY NOW they’ve been able to test nuclear weapons and 2) the only reason they even have nukes as of this moment is because BILL CLINTON LET THEM HAVE NUKES! Back in 1994, President Bill Clinton and former President Jimmy Carter made a deal with North Korea in which they would receive “two new nuclear reactors and $5 Billion in aid in return for a promise to quit seeking nukes.”, according to the New York Post. That’s quite possibly the most expensive pinky promise ever. $5 Billion and two new reactors for the promise of North Korea to not seek building nukes? And look where we are today. And according to the New York Post, “… in 2002, the North Koreans ‘fessed up’: they’d begun violating the accord on Day One. Four years later, Pyongyang detonated its first nuke.” So North Korea broke that pinky promise immediately and STILL GOT A BUNCH OF MONEY AND TWO REACTORS TO BUILD NUKES! And Obama did something similar with Iran by giving them $150 billion “to build bridges and repair roads.” What a load of b.s. Iran is on the way to becoming a nuclear power that vows to destroy Israel and America. North Korea is ALREADY threatening the U.S. (at least in Guam) and has always threatened South Korea as well. And you can thank Bill Clinton, Jimmy Carter and Barack Obama for allowing insane and evil nations to nuke up. Returning to the mcclatchydc.com article, they go on to mention that some members of Congress have (unsurprisingly) criticized Trump for his “fire and fury” comments. John McCain, the 2008 presidential election loser and prime candidate for the “Benedict Arnold Traitor of the Year” award, said “you’ve got to be sure that you can do what you say you’re going to do… That kind of rhetoric, I’m not sure how it helps.” And California Senator Dianne Feinstein commented: “Isolating the North Koreans has not halted their pursuit of nuclear weapons. And President Trump is not helping the situation with his bombastic comments.” Really, TRUMP’S comments are bombastic? His comments carry no meaning? He isn’t willing to back up what he says? How many times have we heard Obama place a “red line” on a foreign country and done a darn when they crossed that line? OBAMA’S ENTIRE FOREIGN POLICY LEGACY WAS BOMBASTIC! HE NEVER MEANT ANYTHING HE EVER SAID TO ANY FOREIGN COUNTRY THAT TESTED HIM! At what point exactly, during the campaign trail, did Donald Trump look like he isn’t willing to back up what he says, Mr. McCain? At what point did he seem like Trump is all bark but no bite? When he ordered to strike Syria for their use of chemical weapons on their own people? When he appointed “Mad Dog” Gen. Mattis to Secretary of Defense the day of his inauguration? When Trump says that he’s willing to punish a country like North Korea for their threats, he’s going to do it. And the funny thing about this? People might actually think we’ll go to nuclear war with North Korea and that North Korea actually has a chance to win. Of course North Korea doesn't stand a chance - it doesn’t have the military might to face the U.S. It’d be like a high school basketball team facing the Golden State Warriors. A high school football team facing the New England Patriots. Point is: North Korea, with all their threats, is nothing compared to the strength and might of the United States military force. Not just because we’re far richer, more technologically advanced and have a bigger number of soldiers, but also because we have God on our side. North Koreans see Kim Jong Un as their god. That’s because that’s all they’ve ever known. To them, their country’s leader is their god. Christ is not welcomed in North Korea. But Kim Jong Un is nothing compared to Trump, LET ALONE THE ALL-MIGHTY KING OF KINGS AND GOD OF GODS! The Lord has not blessed North Korea up to this point - not even with China on its side. He’s certainly not gonna bless them now. And He won’t bless them EVER. Isaiah 41:10 “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” |
