Hurricane Irma is, as of the time of this article, likely heading for Florida and is projected to downgrade to a Category 4 hurricane (which is still pretty bad). Due to this, the Left is trying to make an even stronger case for climate change than they were with Harvey, given the intensity of this storm. And recently, Rush Limbaugh has made his own comments about the storm and the reaction the media, the government and the people who are projected to be influenced have been having. The media points to climate change as quick as they can blink. The government tells people to be prepared for the worst (as they should), and the people tend to panic by filling up with more gas than they need and buying more water than might be needed, since we can’t accurately predict where Irma will hit. Now, I’m not saying that people shouldn’t prepare themselves for the worst. But it’s pretty clear that the media and government don’t exactly help people not to panic when a storm is heading our way. Yes, we should be prepared for the storm, but we don’t have to panic over it. And, as Rush says: “These storms, once they actually hit, are never as strong as they’re reported.” We don’t know for sure what path Irma will take. And paths are simply estimations as to what MIGHT happen if everything about the storm remains the same. But these things never stay the same. The path was different yesterday, as was the day before, and will be tomorrow. The intensity of the storm can also change as well, since a few days ago, it wasn’t as strong. Last year, Hurricane Matthew lost some of its strength when it hit a part of Florida. Not to mention the fact that the path was also different a few days prior to Matthew’s landfall. But what do I mean by “fake news says we think Irma is fake”? I mean the media often takes things we conservatives say out of context and simply gets things wrong. As I mentioned, Rush had made his own comments about the storm and the response people have had up to this point. So the Washington Post felt compelled to take his words to mean something entirely different. Let’s begin with the title: “Rush Limbaugh’s dangerous suggestion that Hurricane Irma is fake news.” Now that is an eye-catching title. But titles shouldn’t be deceitful. Rush Limbaugh never suggested that the hurricane is “fake news”. It makes no sense to say that a storm which is very obviously there is fake news. It’s what the media makes of the storm that is fake news. The media takes every single hurricane that ever happens as a sign of climate change. And that climate change is our direct responsibility and so we must elect people that will combat climate change AKA Democrats. They politicize potential devastation for a fake cause, and that is the “fake news” part of the ordeal. So, when we expose the Left for what they are doing, they will often lie about what we say and make it sound as though we are dangerous lunatics, which explains the Washington Post’s decision to add the words “dangerous suggestion”. Even though Rush never said Irma is fake news, they make it sound as though he did. In the story, the writer says: “How did we get from Trump’s claim that he has ‘never seen more dishonest media than, frankly, the political media’ to the idea that weather reports are phony, too?” Observing history is how we got there. Weather reports are never perfectly accurate. No one can say they are. And we are not saying that the storm is fake, as this writer claims we are in his article. We are saying that, since we can’t know for sure what will happen until it actually happens, we can’t take these weather reports to be what WILL happen. Not to mention the fact that it’s not just the inaccuracy of the reports that we’re talking about here. We’re talking about what the media and the Left makes of storms like these. They project potential chaos and devastation and blame climate change, and then when it doesn’t happen, they still blame climate change because a storm happened in the first place. The media and the Left SALIVATE when a hurricane forms and looks to head our way. And they are always disappointed when they don’t make landfall or there isn’t as much devastation as they predicted. The media claims that we are directly responsible for these hurricanes, even though that claim makes absolutely no sense. Weather reports are included in fake news. But funny enough, they’re the most truthful things they report. A hurricane is making its way to the U.S. and looks like it might hit. That holds more truth than anything else the media has said in a long time. But at least they can’t claim that weather reports are 100% accurate. They KNOW they aren’t completely right when it comes to the path of a hurricane. But the fake news part of it is when they say that it’s most likely to sweep Florida directly, when they don’t know that for sure. Due to a storm’s very nature, things are bound to change. Like I said, Matthew was projected to make landfall a lot sooner and a lot farther south than it did. The path had changed WITHIN A DAY! Not to mention that Matthew’s strength had also decreased before it made landfall. It’s entirely possible that Irma will also lose some strength (in fact, it’s PROJECTED to lose some strength before it reaches Florida), and it’s also possible that it will change paths. It could continue heading a bit more westbound into the Gulf of Mexico (where it will hopefully die and avoid hitting Texas and Mexico) or head north earlier than predicted and miss the coast of Florida altogether (and hopefully die in the Atlantic). It could also go where the paths say it might go. Only God knows for sure. But NO ONE can be entirely sure of the path the hurricane will take until it actually goes through. So the weather reports, while they are something to keep an eye on, they are not to be taken to be the complete truth of what will happen, particularly half a week prior to when the storm is predicted to hit. And it doesn’t help anyone to take Rush’s comments out of context and twist them into being “bad advice”, when he is the one that makes the most sense out of these things. Not that that actually matters to the media or the Left. They WANT people to be in panic. They WANT people to ask questions as to what to do and who is available to help. And they WANT people to think that climate change is the cause for people losing their homes in Houston after Harvey and possibly having the same thing happen with Irma. They WANT people to think that these storms could be prevented, even though logic declares that they really can’t be prevented. They WANT people to think that Republicans don’t care about what will happen to people and they WANT people to think that Democrats offer a solution to all of their problems, including how to prevent more hurricanes from forming by “fighting” climate change. Panic is what the Left WANTS. They want people to be solely dependent on THEM. On the GOVERNMENT and on the MSM. So they don’t like it when conservatives like Rush offer people peace of mind and some logic. People like him present a threat to their dominion on public information. Deceit is the Left’s trade. But when their deceit is exposed, they have to fight back against it and try to continue to deceive people. Proverbs 10:9 “Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but he who makes his ways crooked will be found out.”
