Trump Marks 850th Anniversary Of Thomas Becket’s Martyrdom, Calls For End Of Christian Persecution

It’s rather easy to search this, but do you want to know what was the very first article that was published on this site? What the topic was about? The very first article was about a very similar subject to this one: Christian persecution, and it asked the question of whether or not there is Christian persecution in the United States.

To summarize that article, yes, there is Christian persecution in the U.S., has been for a while, and it very well might get worse in the future if we allow it.

However, it’s worth pointing out that there pretty much has always been Christian persecution for as long as the religion itself has existed (and technically before, since Christ suffered that kind of persecution, despite Him having been Jewish and following Jewish law). I’ve already talked about that, nearly two years to the date.

Christians will always be persecuted and we have been for a very long time. One example of this in the history of Christendom is the story of Thomas Becket, an English archbishop who was persecuted and ultimately murdered for defending the Church and placing it ahead of the Crown.

The 850th anniversary of his martyrdom was very recent, on December 29th, and President Trump made sure to commemorate this anniversary and that moment in history, adding the need to end Christian persecution much like what happened to Becket.

In a proclamation, President Trump wrote: “Today is the 850th anniversary of the martyrdom of Saint Thomas Becket on December 29, 1170. Thomas Becket was a statesman, a scholar, a chancellor, a priest, an archbishop, and a lion of religious liberty.”

“Before the Magna Carta was drafted, before the right to free exercise of religion was enshrined as America’s first freedom in our glorious Constitution, Thomas gave his life so that, as he said, ‘the Church will attain liberty and peace.’”

The president went on to give a brief summary of Becket’s biography, noting that Becket was an archbishop who was killed by four knights of King Henry II in his church, Canterbury Cathedral, on December 29, 1170, after Becket famously resisted the king’s attempt at dwindling the power of the Church with the Constitutions of Clarendon.

Trump’s proclamation went on to say that when Becket refused to accept Henry’s declaration, “the furious King Henry II threatened to hold him in contempt of royal authority and questioned why this ‘poor and humble’ priest would dare defy him, Archbishop Becket responded ‘God is the supreme ruler, above Kings’ and ‘we ought to obey God rather than men.’”

“Because Thomas would not assent to rendering the church subservient to the state, he was forced to forfeit all his property and flee his own country. Years later, after the intervention of the Pope, Becket was allowed to return – and continued to resist the King’s oppressive interferences into the life of the church. Finally, the King had enough of Thomas Becket’s stalwart defense of religious faith and reportedly exclaimed in consternation: ‘Will no one rid me of this meddlesome priest?’”

“The King’s knights responded and rode to Canterbury Cathedral to deliver Thomas Becket an ultimatum: give in to the King’s demands or die. Thomas’ reply echoes around the world and across the ages. His last words on this earth were these: ‘For the name of Jesus and the protection of the Church, I am ready to embrace death.’ Dressed in holy robes, Thomas was cut down where he stood inside the walls of his own church.”

“Thomas Becket’s martyrdom changed the course of history. It eventually brought about numerous constitutional limitations on the power of the state over the Church across the West. In England, Becket’s murder led to the Magna Carta’s declaration 45 years later that: ‘[T]he English church shall be free, and shall have its rights undiminished and its liberties unimpaired.’”

“When the Archbishop refused to allow the King to interfere in the affairs of the Church, Thomas Becket stood at the intersection of church and state. That stand, after centuries of state-sponsored religious oppression and religious wars throughout Europe, eventually led to the establishment of religious liberty in the New World. It is because of great men like Thomas Becket that the first American President George Washington could proclaim more than 600 years later that, in the United States, ‘All possess alike liberty of conscience and immunities of citizenship’ and that ‘it is now no more that toleration is spoken of, as if it was by the indulgence of one class of people, that another enjoyed the exercise of their inherent natural rights.’”

“On this day, we celebrate and revere Thomas Becket’s courageous stand for religious liberty and we reaffirm our call to end religious persecution worldwide.” Trump added that “the crimes against people of faith must stop, prisoners of conscience must be released, laws restricting freedom of religion and belief must be repealed, and the vulnerable, the defenseless, and the oppressed must be protected.”

The president concluded: “As long as America stands, we will always defend religious liberty. A society without religion cannot prosper. A nation without faith cannot endure – because justice, goodness, and peace cannot prevail without the grace of God.”

He is right, of course, in all of these regards. But given the nature of the Left, who are driven by Satanic beliefs, we will not see the end of Christian persecution any time soon.

Like I pointed out in that article from nearly two years ago, what the United States has done for those of us who are Christians is give us a moment of relief from that sort of persecution. Legally and constitutionally, we are free to exercise our religion. The problem comes when even those who are sworn to enforce the law and protect the constitution willingly decide not to do so. While there are a number of police officers who have defied their insane (often Democrat) governors and their tyrannical mandates, I have seen far too many videos online of police officers forcing Christians to disperse from public prayer and forcing churches to shut down.

The Chinese coronavirus gave people in power with already some dictatorial tendencies to freely and with impunity rule their states and cities with an iron fist. I’ve already detailed how Cuomo and de Blasio have targeted synagogues and churches by forcing them to shut down while allowing mosques to still operate, and there are stories of churches in California being fined and threatened with permanent closure for defying Newsom’s orders.

Christian persecution exists in different forms at different times. One thing I will say is that even this current persecution is not quite as bad as it used to be in the past, or as it is in other parts of the world like in China or some Middle Eastern countries. Christian leaders today aren’t being killed in cold blood by police for defying the lockdown orders. Thomas Becket was killed in cold blood by the king’s knights (the equivalent to today’s police) for defying a piece of legislation specifically because of its clause which subjected priests charged with a serious felony to being judged by a secular jury and being given a “secular punishment”.

I don’t know everything about how the criminal justice system used to work in 12th century England under the rule of King Henry II, and I have no idea what “secular punishment” means, but it’s clear that it was far easier for tyrants to exercise extreme measures against what they consider to be pests for things which are, from what I can see, considerably less of a big deal in comparison to impeding the religious liberty of assembly and worship of Christians in states across the country. I don’t want to trivialize or minimize what Christians had to go through back then, but I consider this present crisis to be worse than the Constitutions of Clarendon, seeing as it affects far more people than just priests who are charged with serious felonies (and who knows what constituted as a “serious felony” in those days?).

Even still, it’s not like Newsom or Cuomo can order cops to shoot and kill church leaders for their defiance. Even de Blasio has made numerous threats to permanently close down synagogues but has yet to actually go through with that, despite those synagogues’ persistent defiance.

So in many ways, this kind of Christian persecution is not nearly as bad as it was back then (again, church leaders aren’t being extrajudicially murdered for their defiance), so we should count our blessings, but any Christian persecution must be fought against anyway.

We will continue to see it, undoubtedly, and it could potentially get far worse. Again, the law and the Constitution protect us but only insofar as there are those who are willing to enforce the law and Constitution. Otherwise, law is just words written on paper and utterly worthless.

The country has the laws necessary for protecting and securing our borders – we just need to enforce those laws. The country has the laws necessary for protecting us against election fraud – we just need to enforce those laws. The country has the laws necessary for protecting religious freedom – we just need to enforce those laws.

The good news is that, either way, we are blessed in the Lord. If we are not persecuted, that’s great; if we are, that’s fine too. God will recompense us all our sorrows, our worries, our pain. All that we lose, God will multiply. If the enemy takes away our wealth, God will multiple that wealth. If the enemy takes away our families, God will multiply those families. If the enemy takes away our lives, God has guaranteed us eternal life through His Son, Jesus Christ.

The enemy has power, but that power is nothing compared to God.

Matthew 5:10
“Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”

Idiot Leftist Tries To Claim Christians Are Real Anti-Semites. The Internet Destroys Him

As was to be expected, the fallout from Ilhan Omar’s anti-Semitic comments and the Democrat Party refusing to admit that she is anti-Semitic has not yet subsided, but one particularly idiotic Leftist has the worst take I’ve seen so far about this whole thing: that Christians are the real anti-Semites.

Of course, the moron I’m talking about is Young Turks host Cenk Uygur, who tweeted: “You know what’s REAL anti-semitism? Right-wing Evangelical Christians supporting Israel because they think it will bring about the End Times where all of the Jews die. Worst anti-Semitism in the world!”

You know how I often read something someone says or tweets and I say how I am so ready to have my fun with them? Well, none of those instances compare with how much havoc I am about to rain down on this idiot.

But before I begin, allow me to show you some of the things other Twitter users have written in response to this guy:

“And there ya go… I was waiting to see who the first hateful moron was gonna be to make this argument,” wrote one Mr. Larry O’Connor.

“You named your show after the people that were responsible for the Armenian genocide. Shut your mouth, jackass,” said Arthur Schwartz (and a bit of a spoiler for later down this article: I will get back to that topic of the Armenian genocide momentarily).

“Many Christians are of Jewish ethnicity and ancestry. Jesus and ALL the apostles were Jewish. Nearly all of the early Christians were Jewish. Why would Christians wish death on brethren? This couldn’t be a more moronic tweet but I’m sure he will surprise me,” wrote Chris Loesch, husband of NRA spokeswoman Dana Loesch.

“As a Jew, I am grateful every day for my Evangelical Christian friends who support our shared history and *defend* the Jewish people and our right to our homeland. Without their support there would be no one else on Earth standing by us as genocidal masses relentlessly attack,” wrote Chad Felix Greene.

“Buffoonery. He’s going to tell us what the ‘worst anti-Semitism in the world’ is? I’ll tell you what the worst anti-Semitism is: the one that used anti-Semitic tropes to systematically murder six million Jews. THAT, Cenk Uygur is the WORST. Don’t dare speak again for Jews!” said a Mr. Dov Hikind.

Now, I promised you earlier just what exactly my take was regarding this whole thing and I promised you a scathing analysis and dissection of this idiotic rhetoric, so here it is.

Do you want to know what real anti-Semitism is? The kind that Dov just mentioned: the one where an aggressively anti-Semitic socialist captured, imprisoned and killed 6 million Jews.

Do you want to know what real anti-Semitism is? Iran constantly declaring and swearing they will wipe Israel off the map. It’s Hamas committing jihad against the Jews on a daily basis at Israel’s border in the Gaza strip.

It’s Syria and other nations constantly launching missiles at Israel in the hopes of killing as many Jews as possible and weaken the nation’s resolve. It’s Ilhan Omar accusing politicians of dual loyalties to Israel and only supporting Israel for the money. It’s people claiming, without proof or reason, that Israel is “occupying” the land on which they reside – the land that was PROMISED TO THEM BY GOD!

Not that I expect this idiot to recognize what anti-Semitism is when his entire show is named after a revolutionary group in the early 20th century that led to the slaughter of 1.5 million Christian Armenians.

In case you do not know what the Armenian genocide is because the education system is so corrupt that any historical event that victimizes Christians must not be covered so as to maintain the narrative that Christians are oppressors, allow me to give you a relatively short history lesson about the entire thing.

Armenia was an independent nation for a decent amount of time, even becoming the first nation in the world to make Christianity its official religion in the 4th century A.D. However, the Armenian people often were ruled by an entirely different nation, or empire, as was more commonly considered at the time. During the 15th century, Armenia became part of the Ottoman Empire.

To no one’s surprise, the Ottoman Empire was largely led by Muslims who would often treat the typically-Christian Armenians like less than second-class citizens. Christians had to pay higher taxes and were subjected to very restrictive and minimal political and overall legal rights.

Interestingly enough, despite their hardships, Armenians actually thrived anyway. They were typically better educated and were wealthier than the rest of the Empire, particularly their Turkish neighbors, who grew resentment of them because of their success.

So when the Ottoman Empire crumbled by the end of the 19th century when Turkish Sultan Abdul Hamid II was dethroned, a revolutionary group called the Young Turks sought to reform Turkey into a more modern constitutional monarchy. The Armenians saw this as a sign of better things to come, but in fact, the opposite occurred.

The Young Turks sought to “Turkify” the once mighty Empire, which meant that any non-Turks, including and especially counting Christian non-Turks, were seen as a threat to their vision.

The beginning of World War I didn’t help the Armenians at all either. Turkey entered the Great War on the side of the Germans and Austro-Hungarians (you know, the baddies?). Turkish military leaders, according to History.com, argued that “the Armenians were traitors: If they thought they could win independence if the Allies were victorious, this argument went, the Armenians would be eager to fight for the enemy.”

Which wasn’t inaccurate. The Armenians organized battalions that would help the Russians fighting the Turks. But then again, can you blame them for wanting to fight for Turkey’s enemies when Turkey and the Ottoman Empire both subjected the Armenians to horrible social justice laws (and the actual social justice, not the actual insanity of the Left today) and made the Armenians out to be scum of the earth and literal infidels?

But in any case, we move on to the day the genocide is widely known to have begun: April 24th, 1915. On that day, the Turkish government “arrested and executed several hundred Armenian intellectuals,” according to History.

“After that, ordinary Armenians were turned out of their homes and sent on death marches through the Mesopotamian desert without food or water. Frequently, the marchers were stripped naked and forced to walk under the scorching sun until they dropped dead. People who stopped to rest were shot. At the same time, the Young Turks created a ‘Special Organization,’ which in turn organized ‘killing squads’ or ‘butcher battalions’ to carry out, as one officer put it, ‘the liquidation of the Christian elements.’”

“These killing squads were often made up of murderers and other ex-convicts. They drowned people in rivers, threw them off cliffs, crucified them and burned them alive. In short order, the Turkish countryside was littered with Armenian corpses. Records show that during this ‘Turkification’ campaign, government squads also kidnapped children, converted them to Islam and gave them to Turkish families. In some places, they raped women and forced them to join Turkish ‘harems’ or serve as slaves. Muslim families moved into the homes of deported Armenians and seized their property.”

Reports say that there were about 2 million Armenians living in the Ottoman Empire at the time of the massacre, and in 1922, when the genocide was over, around 388,000 Armenians remained. That’s roughly north of 1.5 million Christian Armenians massacred by the Young Turks.

And what does Cenk name his show after? The very entity that was responsible for that genocide.

Imagine someone creating a show named after Nazi Germany. It’s about as bad as that.

So why am I not surprised at the sort of animosity Cenk shows with regard to Evangelical Christians? After all, he named his show after the group responsible for the massacre of over a million of us.

Do you want to know what is real bigotry? That. Precisely that. Trying to say that Christians are the real anti-Semites because our support of Israel is as strong as it is because of the prophecy of the End Times as detailed in the book of Revelations.

Yes, we Christians believe that Israel must solely belong to the Jewish people for the End Times prophecy to be fulfilled. But let me remind you of something about God: HE GETS TO DECIDE WHO GETS INTO HIS KINGDOM!

It’s not rare for a Jewish person to convert to Christianity. Those that do will be saved while those who do not will, unfortunately, perish. That’s applicable to LITERALLY EVERYONE WHO HAS EVER LIVED, CURRENTLY LIVES, AND WILL EVER LIVE IN THE FUTURE.

By saying that the “only” reason Christians support Israel is because of the End Times prophecy that will not include anyone who has not been saved by Christ, he is not only attacking Christians but GOD HIMSELF.

It’s no different from someone on Facebook whining at you that “if God really was as merciful or loving as you say He is, He would just let anyone into Heaven no matter what” which is a gross insult to the character of God and an incredibly asinine argument made by someone who truly has no idea what they are talking about (and I speak from experience having actually encountered someone like this on Facebook long ago).

The Jewish people are God’s chosen people. The land of Israel belongs squarely to them. But those who have converted and will convert to Christianity, recognizing the deity of Jesus Christ, who is Lord, to them belongs the Kingdom of God.

That, by no means, does it mean we Christians are in any shape manner or form at odds with Judaism. Matter of fact Jesus Himself was Jewish as He also worshipped the same exact God as the Jews. God the Son worshipped, in the flesh, God the Father, who is also the God of Abraham, of Isaac, of David and of all of Israel. And the twelve apostles were ALL Jewish themselves, including Paul, who did not become an apostle until after Christ’s death at the cross, when he would persecute and execute Christians.

There is a reason we call ours a “Judeo-Christian” culture because the two share similar tenets. Christians believe everything the Jews do up to the point where Christ is involved. We worship the same exact God, albeit under typically (but not always) different laws and rituals. Christians find their roots in Judaism. As such, we are allies for as long as the world is here. Jews gave us the law.

It’s absolutely ridiculous to insist that someone SUPPORTING Israel is anti-Semitic because of End Times prophecies where GOD GETS TO DECIDE WHAT’S WHAT!

REAL anti-Semitism, as I covered earlier, is what Hitler did, what Ilhan Omar continually does, what Iran continually does, what the Democrat Party is slowly coming to accept and everything that has to do with the systemic destruction or oppression of the Jewish people.

And a REAL bigot is someone who names their show after the radical Islamic group that was solely responsible for one of the worst genocides in world history.

Again, I’m not surprised at all at Cenk’s hatred of Christians. He essentially supports an act that sought to eradicate them from a nation entirely.

But let me tell you something else: God is not one to delight in His children’s suffering. To those whom He’ll have mercy, He’ll have mercy. To those whom He’ll execute justice, He will execute justice.

Genesis 12:3
“I will bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you; and all the families of the earth will be blessed through you.”

The Reality We Face: Christians Will Always Be Persecuted

1/30/2019

Picture

If you’ve read other articles talking about Christianity or Christian persecution in particular, or even if you have a full understanding of what it means to be a Christian, a title like that will seem painfully obvious.

Of course, Christians will always be persecuted! However, there is a particular reason I am talking about this right now.

Looking over topics to talk about, I came across an article on RealClearPolitics written by Penny Nance, President and CEO of Concerned Women for America.

Her article was titled: “When Will the Rising Tide of Bias Against Christians Stop?”

That title kind of surprised me, to be quite honest. “Rising tide”? Ma’am, Christians have been persecuted for almost two-thousand years. We’re not facing a “rising tide”, we’re already flooded by such persecution.

In her article, Ms. Nance points out the scrutiny the Vice President’s wife recently faced with regard to the fact she chose to teach at a Christian school. The media attacked her and the school for being anti-LGBT and really went quite far in their attacks against the Second Lady with someone in the media suggesting that she no longer be protected by Secret Service over this.

No doubt, this is Christian persecution, but it’s nothing new. Even Ms. Nance points out the many other times when people, particularly Democrats, have persecuted Christians such as Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) challenging a federal judicial nominee over his ties to the Knights of Columbus, a Catholic organization.

Other examples she pointed at were Sen. Diane Feinstein (D-CA) saying of Amy Coney Barrett that Catholic “dogma lives loudly within you.” Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) called into question Deputy Director of the Office of Management and Budget, Russel Vought’s Christian views as being “Islamophobic” and Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) asking Secretary of State Mike Pompeo during his confirmation hearing: “Is gay sex a perversion?”

But of course, this is hardly the tip of the ice berg of Christian persecution, even in America. In Colorado, a baker had to go through legal hell just because he refused to bake a gay wedding cake. And I don’t think we’ll forget the fact that a group of Catholic high school kids were hounded and harassed and vilified by the fake news media a couple of weekends ago (granted, for wearing MAGA hats, but still).

Most recently, the Left went a little bananas over the fact that Trump promoted “controversial” legislation in a number of states where the Bible would be taught in schools through the context of literature and history.

Over the decades, the Bible, crosses and overall prayer were banned in public schools, replaced with communist propaganda and flimsy theories of evolution which are heavily alluded to as being factual, if not actually being taught as fact in this day and age (I haven’t attended a science class that talked about it since high school back in the early to mid-2010s).

In the Middle East, Christians are regularly beaten, harassed and persecuted on a good day and outright killed and dismembered on a bad day. In China, Christians who refuse to include President Xi Jinping in their worship services are arrested and only God knows what happens to them.

But none of this is new. Like I said, Christians have been persecuted for two-thousand years.

Need I remind you that the Apostle Paul, before converting, actually hunted down Christians with Roman soldiers to have them executed? That Christians in Rome were considered atheists because they did not believe in the Roman gods? That it took Emperor Constantine in the 4th Century to legalize Christianity in Rome?

Jesus Christ, while He was still walking on this Earth, warned people that those who would follow Him, aka Christians, would face persecution and hostility from the world.

2 Timothy 3:12: “Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted…”

John 15:18: “If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you.”

1 Peter 4:12-14: “Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice insofar as you share Christ’s sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed. If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you.”

Matthew 5:10: “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”

Time after time in the Bible, it is made known to us that we will be persecuted by this world for the simple “crime” of being a Christian.

This is why I’m so surprised that Ms. Nance thinks this persecution is so unprecedented. But perhaps, I should try to look at how others might see this.

What do I mean? Let me explain.

I’m from Argentina. And while Argentina is largely Catholic, its founding was not necessarily due to Christianity or out of a necessity to allow people to express their religious freedoms.

America was founded a Christian nation. Included in the Bill of Rights is the freedom of religion. Argentina has that too, but it was not one of its main points upon the founding
.

The people that settled here sought freedom of religion and the country was founded following Christian views.

The people that settled in Argentina went there not to be free of religious persecution but to conquer the land for Spain.

America since before its founding has been a sanctuary for Christians, where freedom of religion was considered as important as freedom of speech, press and assembly. And Christianity has been a major part of politics for a very long time.

So when in a country where Christianity is so prominent, I suppose it is understandable if people are noticing an uncomfortable trend in increased Christian persecution. This is supposedly the land of the free, so why would anyone expect Christianity to be persecuted?

Like I said, there is no rising tide of Christian persecution because we are already flooded by it and have been for a very long time. The only thing that is significant about the way Christians are treated in America and the way Christians have been treated elsewhere in different times is that America has provided what can be considered a period of relief of that persecution.

True, Christians don’t tend to be persecuted in America precisely because of the First Amendment. However, there has been plenty of Christian persecution anyway. Granted, not to the point of execution, thank God, but persecution has been there anyway.

And this persecution will only get worse because we live in what can only be considered a post-Christian America.

In a Christian America, socialists like AOC, Bernie Sanders, Kamala Harris and others would not get within 10 miles of holding a government office, as no true Christian would vote for them. In a Christian America, we wouldn’t be debating the morality of a border wall, we would be united in an effort to secure our borders, while still helping those who legitimately want to come here and legitimately seek better opportunities and to contribute in this country.

In a Christian America, we would not debate, much less celebrate, the enacting of legislation legalizing abortion up to any point in the pregnancy. We would not debate gay marriage or transgenderism.

We have all of these issues because we live in a post-Christian America and have been for some time now.

As a result, we see a “rising tide” of Christian persecution. And maybe so in comparison to earlier in the country’s history, but certainly nothing like what Christianity has had to face in its entire existence everywhere else.

We are expected to be persecuted by the world because we are not of this world. We do not belong to the world; we belong to Christ. We do not follow the world; we follow Christ.

The unfortunate reality is that Christians will always be persecuted for as long as Christianity exists. But the fortunate reality that comes along with it is that, in that persecution, we are fighting the Good Fight. If we are to be persecuted for any particular reason, it is best to be persecuted for being a Christian.

If the world turns its back to us, we rest assured that our faith will be rewarded in heaven.

I often say that, even if the Left gets absolutely everything it wants, it’s ultimately okay. Part of the reason why is because even if the Left takes away all our freedoms and property (because that’s the nature of socialism), whatever the world takes from us, God will multiply in His Kingdom.

Take away our riches, God will multiply those riches in heaven. Take away our families, God will multiple those families in heaven. Take away our lives, God will reward us with eternal life.

Yes, we will be persecuted in this life. This much is to be expected. But even if worse comes to worst, we need not worry because we know that Christ’s return is far closer than any of us think. Even if we are made to suffer in this life, God will take away all suffering, all pain, all sorrow, all tears in heaven.

Our God created the heavens and the earth. He is the master of it all. So what if we are persecuted? Sure, it’s not a good thing by any means and it certainly brings pain with it, but we ultimately need not worry.

If I am to die for the simple reason that I am a Christian, I will die with a smile on my face and a heart full of gratitude for God.

Why? Because Christ took away our fear of death. He defeated death at the cross. In Him, we also defeat death.

Of course, this does not mean that we should simply be content with these things happening. We should still try to course-correct, but even if that does not happen, we can rest assured that this is all part of God’s Plan.

And trust me, He does not need a plan B.

The Secularization Of The Church And Christianity

1/15/2019

Picture

As I see it, there is a dangerous secularization within the churches that is trying to secularize Christianity to make it fit the world’s standards, doing the opposite of what they should be trying to do.

And just to be clear, I’m not saying that every single individual church does this, or that every single individual Christian does this, but there are trends in many churches that are simply worrying to me at the very least.

Now, allow me to explain just what it is that I am talking about regarding the secularization of the church (as the bride of Christ) and of Christianity itself.

Recently, I read two articles from The Daily Wire. One was titled: “Pastor Loses Job After Church Sign Stating ‘Homosexuality Is Still A Sin’ Causes Uproar” and the other was an op-ed from Mike S. Adams titled: “Why I Have To Debate ‘Christian’ Serial Killers,” referencing pro-abortion people in the church who not simply ignore abortion, but straight up claim it is somehow morally right.

Adams writes that the silence from most Christians regarding abortion is “stunning”, reminding him of stories he had heard of German churches ignoring Jewish trains full of women and children crying out for help by singing hymns more loudly. Of course, these are simply stories that may or may not be true, but we are seeing the Left literally calling for people to “shout” their abortion. And it seems, at least when it comes to plenty of supposed “Christians” that abortion is not only an issue that is not discussed, but sometimes even advocated for. Plenty of times, either churches ignore the issue of abortion to instead focus on the sinfulness of Man (and just barely mentioning how we are already saved if we have received Christ into our hearts) or outright joining the Leftist thought-train of secularization and advocating for women’s “right” to have an abortion.

Similarly, it seems as though we have been less intent on pointing out and rebuking the sinfulness of homosexuality because it’s “cool” or “acceptable” now to be gay.

Which brings me to the other article, where Pastor Justin Hoke of Trinity Bible Presbyterian Church in Weed, California lost his job after his church sign read the following: “Bruce Jenner is still a man. Homosexuality is still a sin. The culture may change. The Bible does not.”

That seems like a perfectly reasonable and accurate church sign. But the sign still caused an uproar within the community.

Now, that in and of itself was not actually the reason for the pastor to lose his job. The community can say whatever it wants, but it ultimately can’t get rid of a pastor. However, the church can.

Pastor Hoke said that he was not exactly fired, but it was brought to his attention that just about everyone in the church with the exception of one couple said that they would leave the church if he continued preaching there.

And THAT is where we find a huge problem. 99% of the church members and all of the elders did not want Hoke, whose gravest sin was to preach against sin (which is HIS JOB), and threatened to leave the church if he continued doing exactly what he’s supposed to do.

Now, I get that this is California, particularly in a city called WEED. However, I looked into the church and what denomination it fell under. The Bible Presbyterian Church is a very conservative church. Unlike many other churches where it seems they teach literally the opposite of Christianity, the Bible Presbyterian Church follows the Westminster Standards of reformed doctrine. In other words, they’re as conservative as you can get.

And yet, despite its conservatism, the overwhelming majority of the body of the church was against what the pastor did, even though he was 100% right.

Bruce, or “Caitlyn” Jenner is still a man. It doesn’t matter what he looks like, or what parts he surgically added or removed, he is still a he because God made him that way.

Homosexuality is still 100% a sin. It doesn’t matter if the Left calls us homophobes for saying it, the Word of God makes this abundantly clear.

And that’s not to say any of us hate gay people, either. Quite the opposite in fact. If we hated gay people, we wouldn’t care to point out their sin and we wouldn’t try to save them. But we care for people’s souls – all people’s. So, we try to help them be saved.

And yet, even though the Bible is perfectly clear about homosexuality, almost every member of the church wanted the pastor gone because he was spreading the Truth.

When I look at where the church is headed, I worry. The Catholic Church has had multiple instances of highly immoral sexual misconduct with children. And yes, while that is also the case in many other places, particularly Leftist Hollywood, the Church is held to a higher standard than Hellywood (and yes, I’m thinking of calling it that from now on).

The fact that the people of a conservative church would threaten to leave a church if it retained a pastor who was SPREADING THE TRUTH OF THE GOSPEL is a massive red flag, even if it is in California.

Homosexuality is still a sin, regardless of what society might argue. Transgenderism is a mental issue, regardless of the Left’s attempts to normalize and encourage it. Abortion is death, regardless of what any man or woman might say.

These are all things that we should be tackling head on, not retreating on. We should tackle these things and rebuke these things because these things are immoral. And in challenging these things, we should not cower and apologize, and we should not be getting rid of pastors for challenging these things. We are Christians. We serve God, not Man. And as Christians, we should not worry about persecution; we should fully expect it. As Christians, we are hated for telling the Truth; the Truth of Christ, of God, of the Gospels, of the Bible.

Christianity cannot become secularized, lest we fall to sin forever. We cannot allow for it to fall to Man. We must pray to God that He may guide our steps so that we may continue to spread His Word, regardless of the physical consequences.

Why? Because it’s not just the most important thing – it’s the only important thing.

There is a reason people in China risk going to underground churches. They risk imprisonment because they’d rather be physically imprisoned than spiritually imprisoned.

There is a reason people in the Middle East so often come to Christ. Even though they risk not just imprisonment but outright death, they’d rather die the first death than the second.

And yet, I see so many self-professed “Christians” either ignoring the sins of Man or outright advocating for them, arguing that they are actually moral when the Bible proves otherwise.

I’ve often said that we need a Christian revival. When I say that, I don’t just mean more people coming to Christ who never said or thought they were Christians, but I also mean those who think they are Christians and argue they are doing God’s work but are not.

We need a Christian revival not just in America but around the world. We need to fully understand what it means to be a Christian. It means to follow the Lord Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, through trial and tribulation on this Earth, following His teachings as best as we can, regardless of what society might say or argue. It means not fearing persecution but outright expecting it, knowing that whatever Man can do cannot compare to what God can do.

For it is better to die the most horrendous death imaginable at the hands of Man than it would be to be on the receiving end of God’s Righteous and Just Wrath.

Shame on those “Christians” who threatened to leave a church whose pastor follows and teaches the Word of God. But beyond that, I sincerely hope they come to their senses, understanding the error of their ways, and return to Christ.

Similarly, I hope those “Christians” who advocate for abortion, or at least “choice”, eventually repent of their sins for they are doing the work not of God but of the Devil.

I hope and pray we can fight back against the secularization of the churches and of Christianity. It’s definitely not the first time the collective church has had such challenges, but here’s hoping we can overcome and defeat such challenges once again.

Romans 6:23
“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Is Islam The Cult Of Death?

11/14/2018

Picture

Strangely, I feel as though I have made a lot of “well, duh!” article titles in recent time, but one cannot help but call out the obvious in the case that I am about to discuss.

While I could go over the religion’s gruesome and violent history, not to mention the incessant attacks against the state of Israel, such as the record-breaking launch of 400 rockets against Israel (which reportedly killed some Palestinian residents), I feel compelled to cover a different case entirely. That case is the Asia Bibi (Aasiya Noreen) blasphemy case that originated in 2010.

Recently, this case has made some news, particularly about Bibi’s release and asylum, which Italy has reportedly offered, while Great Britain has refused to offer asylum to the woman. However, to better understand this whole thing, one must start from the beginning and offer an explanation of the entire case.

Asia Bibi (I will stick to this name since it’s easier than writing out her actual name), is a Pakistani Christian woman who was convicted of blasphemy in 2010 and was sentenced to death by hanging.

Reportedly, in June of 2009, Bibi was accused of blasphemy after an argument with co-workers while they were harvesting berries. Due to that accusation, she was arrested and imprisoned, with a Pakistani judge sentencing her to death by hanging in November of 2010.

Obviously, that hanging never occurred, likely because the case was pretty faulty and she was eventually acquitted by the Pakistani Supreme Court on Halloween of 2018, citing that “material contradictions and inconsistent statements of the witnesses… cast a shadow of doubt on the prosecution’s version of facts.”

I don’t know how Pakistan’s judicial system works, but it appears to be at least somewhat similar to our own in that the rule of law emphasizes presumption of innocence. Then again, a Pakistani lower court did sentence her to death by hanging, even though there likely was still insufficient evidence to justifiably convict her, so I doubt there is much more similarity between our judicial systems.

But in any case, Asia Bibi was acquitted by the Pakistani Supreme Court, which has led to protests by Islamists and, subsequently, calls for her death. Even advocates of her such as Minorities minister Shahbaz Bhatti and Punjab Governor Salmaan Taseer have been assassinated due to their advocacy for Bibi and opposing of blasphemy laws.

Reportedly, Muslim cleric Maulana Yousaf Qureshi announced a bounty of 500,000 Pakistani rupees that would be awarded to anyone who would kill her.

And reportedly, “more than 60 people have been killed by mobs after blasphemy accusations since 1990” in Pakistan.

So due to this, to the fact that more than 60 people have been killed by mobs due to accusations, to the fact that Bibi was on death row for 8 years before her acquittal, to the fact that advocates for Bibi and opponents of the blasphemy laws have been assassinated, we really have to be an insanely ignorant, stupid, or insane people to believe this is the “religion of peace”.

Let me share with you a quote from Wilson Chowdry, chairman of the British Pakistani Christian Association, talking about Britain’s decision to not offer asylum to Asia Bibi: “I’ve been led to believe that the U.K. government had concerns that her moving to the U.K. would cause security concerns and unrest among certain sections of the community and would also be a security threat to British embassies abroad which might be targeted by Islamist terrorists.”

Gee, I wonder why certain people in the U.K. would not be okay with Bibi moving there. I wonder why there would be unrest and why there would be security concerns, particularly for British embassies abroad.

Maybe because these people follow a death cult that gets really ticked off by anyone who dares make a joke about their “sacred prophet” Mohammed? Maybe because said “prophet” was the prototypical Islamist terrorist who slaughtered his way to power in the Middle East to establish the closest thing to an actual religion Satan has ever gotten?

Of course, that’s not to say every single Muslim is a murderous psychopath, but this seems to be a big thing in Islam. Terrorism and extremism seems to be a massive problem stemming from Islam. Christianity does not have this problem (regardless of what the fake news media might want to say). Judaism doesn’t have this problem. Hinduism has this problem, but nowhere near to this level. Islam has a massive problem with extremism. And the thing about it is that these extremists are considered “conservatives”. Not conservatives like you and I. Conservatives in that they follow the more conservative teachings of Islam.

And if that’s the case, doesn’t that say a lot more about Islam than it does about the extremists? Islam IS A RELIGION OF EXTREMISM!

While there may be some Muslim liberals who might argue that the blasphemy laws are too brutal (which they are), that still indicates that, as it was founded, Islam is a death cult not suitable for civilized people.

If these extremists are what they would call “conservatives”, then that just tells me the religion is extremely violent and narrow-minded.

Say what you may want to say about there being Muslims who disagree with the blasphemy laws in Pakistan and elsewhere. Say what you may want to say about there being “moderate” Muslims who don’t support this sort of thing. But let me tell you this: if the people that are extremists are the ones that more closely follow the teachings of Mohammed and the Quran, you cannot make an argument that Islam is a religion of peace. As it was founded, it is the religion of death, of war, of bloodshed and of savagery.

I don’t just say that Islam is a death cult to make a generalization. Like I said, not every single Muslim person is like this. But the reason I say it’s a death cult is because its founding principles are about forcing others to follow Islam and those that would not would be executed.

It is a hateful religion, a false religion, and nothing the Left, the media, or anyone else tells me could make me think for a second that it is a religion of peace. If it’s a religion of anything, it’s a religion of evil.

Now, regarding Asia Bibi, she has reportedly been offered asylum by Italy, Canada and other Western countries, so she might have a happy ending to a decade-long battle against irrational hatred from deranged Muslims.

Psalm 138:7
“Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve my life; you stretch out your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and your right hand delivers me.”

Christians In Iran: From 500 In 1979 To 360,000 Today

1/19/2017

God works in mysterious ways, they say. And it’s true. A recent report issued by Voice of the Martyrs, Canada, indicates that Muslims are converting to Christianity by the thousands.

‘There are thousands upon thousands coming to Christ. We are in regular contact with our FM stations in Iraq and have talked with many people who have family in the Middle East. Some of our Middle Eastern broadcasters have shared testimonies [about many turning to Christ] with us, which they hear directly from listeners when visiting there ...’ a spokesperson of the Voice of the Martyrs said to BosNewsLife.

In Iran, in spite of the deadly persecution, it is estimated that there are now 360,000 Christians, up from roughly 500 in 1979.

God works in mysterious ways, indeed.

You see, the fact of the matter is, persecution leads to CONVERSION more than it leads to EXTINCTION of Christians.

Think about it this way - every person on this planet is doing either of two things:

He’s either running TOWARDS Jesus, or he’s running FROM Jesus

There are really no other options. Christians are running TOWARDS Jesus. Atheists, Muslims, Liberals, Agnostics, Buddhists, followers of transcendental meditation or Scientology or astrology are ALL running FROM Jesus. The last thing they want is to hear about Jesus.

During times of reasonable peace, when you don’t hear about beheadings as much, each one of us would typically continue on our path towards or from Jesus – we go to work, we pay our bills, we watch movies and depending on which direction we go, we may not really be thinking much about Him and how blessed we are to have a job, a family and friends, or we may thank Him every day of our life.

But then, people around the world start witnessing these horrible terrorist acts – not against governments, or institutions, or a political system like the old IRA (Irish Republican Army), or the Bolsheviks – but against Christians. Against people who all they want to do is read their Bibles and worship God. That’s all.

Now, instead of Christians submitting to these terrorists and convert to Islam, they CHOOSE to die horrible deaths.

So unbelievers, including Muslims, wonder: ‘why don’t they just convert to Islam? Why die for Jesus? Isn’t that crazy?’

After a while these unbelievers get a little bit more curious and start reading about Jesus. And that’s when they fully understand why people are willing to be martyred for Him.

In Laos, for example, according to Voice of the Martyrs, conversion happens because people ‘understand the importance of God’s love towards them as an individual. Many have never really experienced this form of love in their life and they have embraced the message of salvation willingly.’

Each period of harsh persecution leads to a period of Christian expansion, which in turn leads to more persecution as the leaders of certain regimes see Christians (or rather, Jesus) as a threat to their power. It happens in America too – Obama sees Jesus as a threat to his power. He is running FROM Jesus too.

God is building His Kingdom. And He uses evil leaders for His purpose. The Roman Empire is a good example of this. One of the reasons Christianity made it to Europe was because of Rome. As you know, it was the Roman Empire that conspired with religious leaders in Judea to crucify Jesus. Roman Governor Pontius Pilate and the Jewish leaders had Jesus arrested and in a mock trial condemned Him to death. Romans were not big fans of Jesus Christ for the same reasons Obama isn’t a big fan of Jesus: He was a threat to their power. But thanks to the roads that the Roman Empire in its majesty built as they conquered land, the apostles and their followers were able to travel all through Europe to bring the Gospel.

Without the evil Roman Empire, Christianity wouldn’t have made it into Europe and obviously, it wouldn’t have made it into America either...

Terrorism must be defeated, but make no mistake, it’s all part of God’s plan. Nothing is a surprise to Him – to us it is, but not to Him.

So, are you running TOWARDS Jesus or FROM Jesus?

John 15:18
If the world hates you, know that it has hated Me before it hated you.

Why You Should BELIEVE - What The Left Doesn't Want You To Know About JESUS

12/14/2016

When Leftists mock Christians, they usually try to appeal to ‘reason’, pointing out that Christians must be really stupid and uneducated for believing in a ‘guy’ whom they have never seen.

As a former atheist, I’m going to tell you upfront that my conversion to Christianity had absolutely nothing to do with emotions and everything to do with REASON. My conversion started with Economics, followed by Politics and ended in Faith. I REASONED all my way to Jesus Christ.

You see, God makes sense. The existence of God makes sense and you cannot explain Creation without the Creator.

Just to give you a short version of my conversion let me tell you that I was born and raised a SOCIALIST – big government of any kind. Little by little I started listening to ‘the other side’ from an economic point of view.

Why?

Because as a Finance professional, I’ve learnt to appreciate numbers – either a company is making money or it isn’t; either a certain strategy is working or it isn’t…either a POLICY is working or it isn’t. Socialist policies, I determined, weren’t working.

So I became a fiscal Conservative – small government is really the only way.

Then, I realized that big government also has tremendous negative political implications on our freedom – big government tends to be abusive as our founding fathers came to realize, with the inevitable loss of your freedoms.

Think of it this way, Obamacare forces people to buy health insurance even if they don’t want to. Whether or not you need health insurance isn’t the point – the point is you really don’t have a choice. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. So I became a full Conservative.

Freedom took me to Christianity, as it really is its basis – free will. You’re never forced to become a Christian – it’s your choice.

Free markets and political freedom is in absolute synchrony with Christianity.

In fact...
Christianity is the ONLY religion that’s in synch with freedom

Try burning the Cuban flag in Cuba or the ISIS flag in Syria…you get executed.

Later on, I studied Creation and compared it to Evolution, which as you know is just a theory and not science. The name itself is indicative we cannot really call it science: ‘The THEORY of Evolution’. Even Charles Darwin, its author, didn’t think of it as science.

Evolution doesn’t make sense (you can read more about it here), because the idea of an ape turning into a human being is simply ridiculous.

Then I thought – wait a minute…where does music come from? Where does shame or love or any other emotion come from? Our ancestors the apes?

I don't think so...

At this point I was even more curious and I started reading the Bible and listening to really good pastors.

But I still needed reassurance…which I’m now sharing with you.

Let me tell you why you should believe.

The 11 Apostles should convince you just like they convinced me - Simon Peter, James the Elder, John, Philip, Nathanael, James the Younger, Andrew, Matthew, Thomas, Jude and Simon.

These apostles all had different backgrounds: you find fishermen, a businessman, a political activist, a doubter, a cynic, a numbers guy (what we would call a Finance guy these days), a philosopher and even a tax collector among the apostles.  You won’t find a more diverse group than these apostles.

But how did they manage to convince me?

Simple.

Because they were ALL executed for their FAITH.

My friend, nobody would willingly DIE for a LIE.

People live for a lie, but they wouldn’t willingly die for a lie.

These folks suffered the most horrendous persecution and their deaths were unbelievably CRUEL. They died by hanging, they were crucified, they were sawn in pieces and Peter was crucified upside down! Do you think anyone would face such horrible deaths for a LIE?

They didn’t die for a lie – the SAW what they saw and they were willing to die for it.

They WITNESSED everything they preached about.

You see, there are THREE things that the Apostles WITNESSED that should convince you just as they convinced me:

  1. The Apostles witnessed Jesus Christ’s RIGHTEOUS LIFE: My friend, the apostles lived with Jesus for 3 ½ years and they witnessed Jesus’ virtue and miracles, as He healed the sick. Peter said ‘don’t tell me Jesus didn’t turn water into wine – I DRANK some of it! Don’t tell me He didn’t raise that little girl from the dead – I SPOKE with her! Don’t tell me He didn’t walk on water – I was there! Don’t tell me it didn’t happen – I SAW all of it!’ They were there! They SAW it. They were WITNESSES of Jesus’ virtuous character and miracles. Nobody told them.
  2. The Apostles witnessed Jesus Christ’s VICARIOUS DEATH: The apostles were right there when Jesus was tortured and nailed to that cross. They said ‘we heard him when He cried in anguish “my God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”. We were there when He said “I thirst”. We saw Him DIE! We were there when they took Him down. We were there when they put Him in the tomb. He didn’t die for His sins, He died for our sins!’ The apostles SAW Jesus’ DEAD BODY. They were WITNESSES of his death. Nobody told them.
  3. The Apostles witnessed Jesus Christ’s TRIUMPHANT RESURRECTION: The apostles were right there with Jesus after He resurrected. They said ‘Don’t tell me He didn’t raise from the dead – I saw Him! We ate and drank with Him! We touched Him! More than 500 people saw Him at one time – we weren’t hallucinating. He was there!’ The apostles spent 40 days with Jesus after God raised Him from the dead. They SAW him. They were WITNESSES of His resurrection. Nobody told them.

My friend, if, like the apostles, you’re living in a territory occupied by Romans, who will chase you down and crucify you for what you PREACH, wouldn’t you rather save your life and stop preaching if you knew what you’re saying is a LIE? Why would you want to be crucified for a lie? What lie would you be willing to die for?

They SAW, they SAW, they SAW…all of these things…

Think of it this way: Muslim Jihadists kill and die because Muhammad has TOLD them so in the Koran. The apostles died for telling other people what they SAW.

Muhammad didn’t die for your sins – Jesus did. Buddha didn’t die for your sins – Jesus did. Obama wouldn't die for your sins - Jesus did.

And we have 11 witnesses who DIED telling the truth. The Left doesn’t want you to know any of this because they want to replace GOD with GOVERNMENT just to control you.

Jesus was and is the SAVING Son of God. The Apostles were only human. You wouldn’t knowingly die for a lie. Neither did they. They died for the TRUTH.

John 8:32: Then you will know the truth and the truth shall set you free

Separation of State and Church or Separation of State and GOD?

12/7/2016

Whenever the left fights to remove the Ten Commandments or a Christmas tree from a public building, or your children’s right to read their Bible in school, they usually refer to the separation of State and Church as the reason behind their fight.

Never mind that, instead, they’re polluting our minds with their own version of religion – atheism. Atheism, after all, is the BELIEF that there IS no God. Atheists, in other words, are BELIEVERS - they believe in SOMETHING, they just don’t believe in the same thing Christians do. They can't prove God doesn't exist any more than Christians can prove He does.
Atheists are religious people too...

The decades-long war on God Atheists have been pursuing has had terrible consequences on our society: in public schools or buildings, Evolution is in and the Bible is out; promiscuity is in and the Ten Commandments are out.

What am I saying?

I’m saying that while atheists devote their lives to condemning righteousness and everything that’s good for you, they’re also committed to promoting everything that’s wrong for you.

Evolution is just a theory, as even scientists agree – and, worst of all, it’s a theory that's never been proven and can never be proven. Nobody's ever seen a monkey evolve into a person. It’s not just a theory, it’s a ridiculous theory based on the IMAGINATION of an atheist who found it hard to believe that God had anything to do with the creation of this world.
Charles Darwin was ready to accept the evidence of creation while denying the existence of a CREATOR. As if, for example, I saw the evidence of this computer I’m using to type this blog, without recognizing the fact that someone, somewhere in Asia built it. Somebody I’ve never met built this computer whether I want to accept it or not. Similarly, somebody we’ve never met created this awesome universe…

And don’t get me started with promiscuity. Promiscuity leads to disease, depression and poverty. Women feel used, men can't find anybody to spend the rest of their lives with, gays feel awkward and rejected, and they get sick so they spend money on doctors and shrinks. There’s nothing good about promiscuity.

But, behold! Bring the Bible into the class and just wait to see how quickly they label you a bigot, a lunatic, a cross worshiper. You bet I’m a cross worshiper – what else would you worship? Miley Cyrus? Obama? Money?
But do they teach you any of this in school?

Of course not.

If they taught you anything of value in school you would know that the separation of State and Church was determined so that the government would not adopt any one particular religion. The founding of this country was based on religious liberty, so the government per se has never adopted a religion.

But did the Framers intend to forget about GOD altogether?

No. On the contrary.

The separation of State and Church does not mean the separation of State and God. It’s not what our Founding Fathers intended.

James Madison, the architect of our Constitution said this:

‘We have staked the whole future of American Civilization NOT upon the power of government, far from it. We have staked the future upon the capacity of each and all of us to govern ourselves, to sustain ourselves, ACCORDING TO THE TEN COMMANDMENTS’

George Washington said:

'We ought to be no less persuaded that the perpetual smiles of Heaven can never be expected on a nation that DISREGARDS ETERNAL RULE of order and Right which HEAVEN ITSELF HAS ORDAINED'.

Abraham Lincoln said:

'In regards to this great book, the Bible, I have this but to say: it is the best gift God has given to men. But for it, we would not know right from wrong’

Not only is there RIGHT and WRONG – it’s the BIBLE that tells you what’s right and what’s wrong.

And I could go on and on - but you get the picture.

Friend, our Founding Fathers never intended for the state to be separated from God. In fact, God has been the light, the inspiration and the guidance to our leaders ever since the Pilgrims landed on our shores. Given the experience of persecution that Jews and Christians have been subjected to for thousands and thousands of years, the Framers didn’t want the state to adopt any specific religion and potentally one day justify persecution. But make no mistake – God has always been a key source of guidance to our BEST leaders. Those wonderful leaders who have promoted righteousness and what is good for us have always sought God before making crucial decisions.

Separation of State and Church is another lie propagated by democrats – good governments and God are supposed to walk together.

1 Peter 2:13-17:
Be subject for the Lord's sake to every human institution, whether it be to the emperor as supreme, or to governors as sent by him to punish those who do evil and to praise those who do good. For this is the will of God, that by doing good you should put to silence the ignorance of foolish people. Live as people who are free, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but living as servants of God. Honor everyone. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the emperor.

Liberals and ISIS have One Common ENEMY: Jesus Christ

12/6/2016

When President Obama decided to send $100 Billion of your tax dollars to Iran, a radical regime which hates America and Israel and has sworn to wipe Israel off the face of the earth, many people were shocked. Why would the leader of the free world want to fund terrorism?

To answer this question, you have to step back a little and wonder: Is Obama really the leader of the free world?

We know he’s the leader of something. We know he’s been the President of the United States for the last 8 years. But what is he the leader of?

He’s the leader of the LEFT in America – we know that for sure.

Now that the Clintons are ancient history, thanks to their massive loss in the November presidential election, Obama will most likely use his community organization skills to mobilize the left once President-elect Donald Trump takes office. Obama is not going anywhere.

But none of this explains why Obama would want to fund terrorism – isn’t terrorism the enemy of the Left as well?

It depends…

There’s an old adage that goes like this: the enemy of my enemy is my friend. Obviously Obama is helping a friend, not an enemy.

But who’s the enemy?

The enemy is JESUS CHRIST

You see, it’s a well-known fact that Communism is responsible for the MASS MURDER of more than 100 MILLION people in the former Soviet Union, China, Cuba, North Korea, Vietnam and other countries where communists have ruled. So we know the Left is a murderous philosophy.

As you know, in these countries listed above, there is no religious liberty. You can’t be a Christian and profess your faith freely in North Korea or Vietnam. You can get killed if you try. Similarly, in areas in the Middle East dominated by radical Islam you can’t profess any religion other than Islam. That’s the reason they behead ‘infidels’.

In other words, both regimes have God as their #1 enemy. They'll kill you in North Korea for the same reason they'll kill you in Northern Syria: your love for Jesus Christ.

Radical Islam wants to force you to worship Allah.

The left wants to force you to worship the Government.

Radical Islam and the Left disagree on WHO you’re supposed to worship, but they agree you’re NOT supposed to worship Jesus Christ.

Jesus is the enemy of Islam because His existence disproves their Koran. Radical Islam hates Christianity because Muhammad, the founder of Islam, was just a regular Joe who just happened to walk on this earth.

You see, Muhammad was just a regular man because if he wasn't, his grave would be empty - like Jesus'. Muhammad lived, died and was buried - and you can go visit his grave, called the Green Dome in Medina and you will find what's left of his bones. The guy is really buried there.

Now when you go to Jesus Christ's grave, called the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem, you won't find his body there - because He is risen.

Jesus Christ’s resurrection is a problem for Islam because it proves Muhammad was just a guy and he was simply WRONG.

To the Left, the resurrection of Jesus is also problematic. In their case, the idea that there’s anything ABOVE the government proves them WRONG. They're atheists.

If you’re not afraid of anything or anyone simply because you’re a Christian who TRUSTS the Lord, then you won’t be afraid of the Government.
And if you’re not afraid of the government, the Left cannot control you.

Once you know WHOSE you are, there’s nothing to be afraid of.

The left is violent everywhere in the world – they can control people only to the extent people are scared. In the former Soviet Union as well as in other communist countries, churches have been destroyed and Bibles have been banned. The reason for this is simple: the Bible teaches you that you’re valuable and God is Sovereign. These teachings go against what the Left is trying to accomplish – global government and full control of everyone on earth.

So, as you can see, the Left and ISIS have one common enemy: Jesus Christ. They both want their guy – either Allah or the government – to be sovereign over you. To the extent that they both have the same goal – to eliminate the Judeo- Christian world – they will cooperate with each other.

Obviously they both think they’re going to rule over the world one day: either the entire world would convert to Islam or to Communism. That’s when Islam and Communists would start fighting each other.

But it’s a long way till we get there, and quite frankly, it’s never going to happen - at least not until after the Rapture. The Bible speaks about the period of Tribulation, but Christians will not face that period as they will be called to Jesus during the Rapture. After the Tribulation, the Bible says Jesus is coming back:

Thessalonians 4:16-17:
For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.

While we wait for Jesus, we have to face this fight against ISIS and the Left - our common enemy. This fight is for your heart and for your head and you're the ONLY one who can fight it.

Ephesians 6:12: For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this world's darkness, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

Both Islam and the left are the powers of this world’s darkness.

Why The Left Hates Israel

Israel Wildfires
The Left hates Israel as much as Hamas does – and for the same reason.

As you know, Israelis live daily with the threat of terror hanging over their heads. The wildfires some news outlets are reporting these days are nothing but a twist to Islamic terror.

Israel is surrounded by enemies – Palestine, Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Qatar are all enemies of the State of Israel. And on top of that, leftist US President Barack Hussein Obama recently gave Iran $100 BILLION of YOUR tax dollars to fund terrorism. Yes, my dear friend, the US is a sponsor of terrorism.

You may remember that Jews were slaves in Egypt for 400 years. Then they conquered the promised homeland, but they were continually attacked by hostile tribes. After that, the glory days of the United Kingdom of Israel and Judah ended and the Jews were beleaguered by wars with neighboring countries. In 722 BC the Assyrians conquered the northern part of Israel and deported its people. The Jews returned to their land seventy years later, but the Romans finally crushed them in AD 70 and they scattered around the world without a country for 1878 years..until the State of Israel was created in 1948.

You see, the Holocaust’s 6 million murders led the Jews to the creation of Israel – a piece of land where they would feel safe. After Hitler, the Jewish people had no choice but to return their promised land.

Israel’s enemies are holocaust deniers, but they promise a true holocaust if given the chance. They want to wipe the Jews off the face of the Earth – just like Hitler tried to, just like the Soviet Union tried to and just like every liberal tries to, now with fresh funds from our current President.

Islam hates Israel and wants to wipe it off the face of the earth for one simple reason:

The very existence of Israel proves the Bible is TRUE and the Koran is FALSE

If the Bible is true, then Israel IS the Promised Land and the Jews ARE God’s chosen people.

That leaves Islam with NO TRUE GOD. And that’s a huge problem for them – they’re indoctrinating their own people that Allah is the true God and Israel’s existence goes against that idea.

What Islam doesn't like is the idea that God made a covenant with Abraham:

Genesis 12: 1-3: Get out of your country, from your family and from your father’s house to a land that I will show you. I will make you a great nation. I will bless you and make your name great. And you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you and I will curse him who curses you. And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.

This covenant is unconditional. God says He WILL make Abraham a great nation – He doesn’t say He ‘might’. God says He WILL bless Abraham – He doesn’t say He ‘is kind of thinking about it’. It’s always ‘will’ – ‘I will, I will, I will…curse him who curses you’

Islam is in the business of proving the Bible wrong – that’s why they behead Christians and Jews and that’s why they’re at war with Israel. If Genesis is real, then the rest of the Bible is real - and Jesus is real. And He's risen. That is a huge, huge problem for them...

So we know why Islam hates Israel. But how about the Left? Why does the Left hate Israel?

Great question!

It’s the SAME reason: the VERY existence of Israel proves the BIBLE TO BE RIGHT!

The left doesn’t want anything to do with the Bible. The left wants to replace God with Government so anything that helps the cause of the Judeo-Christian beliefs is an ENEMY of the left.

Liberals and radical Islam have the SAME ENEMY: God.

My friend, the left wants to be your god – it wants to tell you how to live your life, what to think, what to feel. Liberals want to control you. But if you’re obedient to God, by definition, you’re not obedient to THEM. And that’s a problem for them.
In countries such as Cuba, North Korea or China, when you disobey the government, they simply put you to death if so these oppressive, leftists in government please. To the extent that you don’t FEAR the government because you have GOD on your side, that’s a problem for them.

Please, don’t believe the left’s lies. They don’t want Israel any more than Hamas wants Israel. And the reason is the same: they are at war with GOD and the battle is for YOUR MIND and for YOUR HEART.

Make sure you give your mind and your heart to the only one who loves you in this war: GOD.
