People Believe Media Is More Divisive Than Trump Is, According To Poll

11/2/2018

Picture

I hardly need a poll to tell me what I know to be true: the fake news media is far more divisive than Trump ever could be. However, that does not mean I do not smile at seeing many people agreeing with me on this issue.

Recently, a Morning Consult poll was released, asking 2,435 voters (so a large sample size) if Trump and the media have done more to divide the country than unite it. According to the poll, an overwhelming 64% of registered voters “said the press has done more to divide the country than unite it since Trump took office…”

56% said the same about Trump, but we’ll get to that momentarily.

The poll also shows percentages according to political party affiliation. According to the poll, 88% of Democrats said Trump was divisive, but a surprising 46% said the press was divisive.

With Independents, 67% said the media was divisive, compared to 54% who said that of Trump.

With Republicans, 80% said the press was divisive and 25% said Trump was.

Many of these numbers are pretty fascinating and good, in my opinion.

That 88% of Dems saying Trump is divisive does not surprise me. Frankly, what surprises me is that it’s not in the 90 percentile. However, that 46% of Dems saying the press was divisive is quite incredible and says an awful lot about the lack of credibility the fake news media has with their own target demographic, who should theoretically always support them.

It’s not exactly a majority, being less than 50%, but it’s incredibly close. As for Independents, who tend to go one way or the other, depending on the person (Sanders is technically an Independent, though he’s a far-Left Independent), they tend to be people who are dissatisfied with both parties, and given the Left’s recent behavior, I suspect there are more Independents today than even a few years ago, given the recent Walk Away movement.

67% of Independents saying the media is divisive is not a good thing for Democrats. And while 54% also say Trump is divisive, that’s still far less than those who point towards the media’s divisiveness.

As far as Republicans go, neither number really surprises me too much. I would think more than just 80% of Republicans would say the media is divisive, and I know very well that there are NeverTrump Republicans out there, so that 25% is actually fairly low and also a good sign for Trump.

Another Morning Consult/Politico poll back in July found that “28 percent of voters said they had ‘a lot’ of confidence in the presidency – more than twice the 13 percent who said the same of television news and double the 14 percent who said the same of newspapers.”

But these numbers generally point out what should really be crystal clear to anyone paying attention: the media is largely responsible for the divisiveness in our country.

Now, Trump being President, and being one who pushes back against the Left, naturally will also cause some divisiveness. The only reason Democrats and the media could say today that Bush was less divisive is because he was nowhere near as much of a fighter against the Left as Trump is. Let’s not forget that much of Bush’s early presidency was marred with Democrats being bitter about the Supreme Court deciding the election, thinking it was stolen from them. (ring any bells?)

The biggest reason Trump is characterized as divisive is because he actually fights back against the Democrats and the media, who have gotten used to Republicans quaking in their boots and apologizing for breathing.

But in this rhetoric of Trump’s divisiveness, and with pretty much every other rhetoric the media throws out there, it is the media that is largely to blame for the division in our country.

Who can blame people for thinking this way, when you have Don Lemon calling for people (aka Trump and Republicans) to stop demonizing people and in the same breath he demonizes white people and Republicans? When you have Julia Ioffe saying Trump has radicalized more people than ISIS has? When you have people calling Trump “Hitler” and Trump’s supporters “Nazis”? When you have people defending the vandalism and destruction that Antifa causes, calling them “angels”? When you have people defending acts of violence and/or harassment of Republican members of Congress or Trump’s staff?

Who can blame people for believing the media divides people when the media fought tooth and nail to spread lies and slander about a Supreme Court nominee with zero evidence? When the media pins the blame of any shooting anywhere on Trump and Republicans? When the media supports the narrative that Trump colluded with Russia, despite zero evidence ever having turned up? When the media defends one of the most crooked Presidents and presidential nominees we have ever seen in Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton respectively?

Who can blame people for believing this way when the media calls for others to tone down on the rhetoric, and in the same breath will tone up their OWN rhetoric? When over 90% of the coverage of Trump is negative?

And these are all just examples that come to immediate mind. I’m sure there are countless other examples of the media being divisive that I am forgetting. But it’s because of all of these examples, both the ones I listed and the ones I am certainly forgetting, that the people cannot come to trust what the media tells them.

Now, earlier, I mentioned that I would get to the 56% of people who said Trump was divisive. Again, he’s the President. The position tends to naturally divide people, at least to some extent. But the arguments made against him that he’s divisive ultimately come down to “he’s not apologizing like every other Republican ever”. Sure, that is never said outright, but that is ultimately the Left’s complaint with Trump. He doesn’t apologize for being who he is, for saying what he says and for doing what he’s doing. And it’s part of this defiance of the status quo of Republicans apologizing for daring to take a breath of air that makes Trump as successful and popular as he is.

Of course, that is only part of it, but it is a substantial part. And it’s this success that comes with his attitude that further drives the Left to insanity. Nothing they have tried has worked. No narrative, no rhetoric; no tried and true method of destroying Republicans has even made a dent. If anything, these attacks have had the opposite effect. The attacks were supposed to tear his approval numbers to shreds. He sits at the mid to high-40s, with some having him at 50% approval, which has him higher than Obama was at this point in his own presidency.

Granted, much of that is due to the fact that Trump is actually Making America Great Again, but the constant attacks against Trump are what drive his supporters closer to him.

I have often said that Trump’s election victory, and his subsequent success post-election, have driven the Left to near insanity, if they aren’t already there. They had a thermonuclear reaction to Trump’s victory, the effects of which we are still seeing and will continue to see for a very long time, most likely. This being the case, who can blame people for trying to distance themselves from what is highly radioactive and toxic?

64% of voters said the media is dividing the country. In all honesty, that number should be at 100% or somewhere close to that. Of course, that would be living in a perfect world where people don’t buy into the crap the Left sells and we do not live in such a world. But for this being an imperfect world, I will gladly take 64% of people believing and KNOWING the media is dividing the country.

I just hope that one day, that number will be very, very low, and we can have a news-media world that reports the truth rather than distorts it – that reflects narratives and beliefs, not create them.

According To Poll, Barack Obama Was The Worst President Post-World War II

6/27/2018

Picture

Whenever you watch the news, or at least whenever you would watch the news when Obama was President, you could swear that Obama was the greatest thing ever since sliced bread. The way he was portrayed made him look as though he was brilliant, sophisticated and hugely popular. Well, it turns out he was far less popular than we may have thought… even back when he was still Prez.

In a 2014 Quinnipiac poll ranking the best and worst Presidents since World War II, 33% of polltakers ranked Obama as the worst. That is the highest point number, with George W. Bush ranking second worst at 28%.

The third worst President according to the poll was Richard Nixon and the fourth was Jimmy Carter.

In ranking the best Presidents since World War II, Ronald Reagan destroyed all other competition with 35%, with second place being Bill Clinton coming in at 18% and third place being JFK at 15%. Barack Obama only received 8% in the poll.

Interestingly enough, the poll also reported that “45% believe the nation would be better off had Mitt Romney defeated Obama in the 2012 presidential election; 38% say the country would be worse off with a Romney presidency,” according to an article on USA Today talking about the poll.

There was a time, before I knew of the establishment and its wickedness, when I thought the country would have been better off with Romney as POTUS instead of Obama. Make no mistake, Obama was the far worse candidate, but Romney would have been only marginally better. He likely would have passed tax reform, but not much else would have been to the benefit of the country.

And this is without taking into consideration that, had Romney won, Trump would have likely not run for President and we might have Hillary in the Oval Office right now, so I would say that, considering our current situation, the country would be worse off with a President Romney.

Of course, I can’t exactly blame people back in 2014 for believing Romney would have been better. Heck, even I thought that back then. But knowing what I know now, as despicable and evil and putrid as Obama was, I’m ok with the 2012 election results. After all, they are partly what brought us the best President we’ve had since Reagan.

Now, the poll didn’t end there. It also handed out grades for Obama on key issues. According to the poll, Obama received negative grades in his handling of the economy (not topping 3% GDP growth in any quarter and rampant unemployment rates will do that), his handling of foreign policy (giving a terrorist nation billions of dollars to secretly forward their nuclear arsenal and bending over backwards to appease a rogue communist dictator will do that), his handling of health care (Obamacare… need I say more?), his handling of the environment (as it turns out, people can’t change the global climate), and his handling of terrorism (allowing a “JV” team to overrun much of the Middle East and have multiple successful acts of terror in our country will do that).

Now, USA Today tries to somewhat excuse these poor numbers for Obama by saying: “Of course, Obama and Bush are the most recent presidents; historians will tell you that it takes decades to truly measure an individual president’s performance.”

That may be true, but when you have a sitting president who is praised to the hills by the media pulling these kinds of numbers, there’s a problem. The article (and consequently, the poll) were released in July of 2014 – before the midterm elections in which Republicans won back Congress. These numbers are indicative of Republican success in the midterms and likely even success in 2016.

Now, I wouldn’t blame you if this is the first time you’re hearing about these numbers. No doubt, the MSM tried their best to hide these numbers since they go against their narrative that Obama is beloved by most, if not all of America and would (at the time) want a Democrat supermajority in Congress and for another Democrat to succeed Obama in 2016.

But these numbers highlight the truth. America hated the job Obama was doing. Granted, this much was evident in the results of the 2016 election, but it’s clear that even back then, people were tired of Obama’s crap. They wanted change and so, in 2014, voted Republican and gave the GOP control of Congress in the hopes that they would do something good. Alas, not much came of that, but the American people refused to roll over and allow Democrats control of the country. But they desperately needed a leader who would stand up for them, fight for them and return the country to its former glory.

They were tired of Obama saying our best days were behind us and that a regressing America was the new normal that we had to get used to. So when Trump came in with the perfect message: Make America Great Again, the people had their new Jupiter Conservator (Parson Weems reference to the exaltation of George Washington; Washington was a hero). In essence and effect, Trump is the anti-Obama that the country needed and voted for.

Of course, the part about Trump is not part of the poll, as it was taken in 2014. That was my current-day take on the results of the poll. The American people did not and do not like Obama or what he was doing to the country. They needed someone who would be entirely different and found that in Trump.

Looking at these results, it’s easy to tell that Obama’s legacy not only will be marred in darkness, but it will also be largely considered to be marred in darkness. He constantly did evil things, passed evil policy, laws and regulation, and secretly formed a shadow government to keep tabs and control of his successor. The American people noticed this (except the shadow government, of course) and hated it.

I just wonder if Quinnipiac will update this survey at some point in the future, perhaps in the middle of Trump’s second term, to see where Trump ranks among these other Presidents in the same questions.

No doubt, he might be remembered as the best President, even better than Reagan, if he does his job well. He’s on track to doing that only a year and a half in as is.

Proverbs 29:2
“When the righteous increase, the people rejoice; but when a wicked man rules, the people groan.”

Consumer Confidence Highest In 16 Years! Are People Finally IGNORING Fake News?

4/3/2017

Picture

The Conference Board reported last week its consumer confidence index skyrocketed to 125.6 in March, up from 116.1 in February.  Fake News economists were expecting a decline to 114.1.

Ever since the election last November, consumer and business confidence levels have continued to defy ‘experts’ by climbing higher and higher each month.

Well, that tells you a lot about these so called ‘experts’, and even more about people…

What can I say?

It’s FANTASTIC news!

Not just the fact that confidence levels are climbing – but the fact that I think for the first time in a long time we can safely say that…

…PEOPLE ARE IGNORING THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA!

Think about it – the MSM is bombarding us day in and day out with news of how ‘racist’ and ‘chauvinist’ and ‘illegitimate’ and ‘incompetent’ Trump is. How the GOP is in ‘complete disarray’. How Trump will have to decide if he wants to ‘resign, be impeached or get assassinated’, as NTY’s David Brooks so clearly put it after Trump’s victory.

And yet, people’s confidence in the Trump Administration and in their future is increasing. How refreshing!

The MSM is becoming less and less relevant. So much so that they cannot even influence the direction of a metric, such as the confidence index, in spite of the massive amount of effort they’re putting in destroying Trump!

This is great news, my friend. People are waking up. The MSM cannot control people’s minds and thoughts any more. It’s a great sign.

So what do we, the ones who have ‘converted’ to conservatism, need to do?

We need to continue PREACHING.

We have a strong enemy before us – the deep state. They own
  • the MSM,
  • the Democrat Party,
  • the Republican Establishment,
  • Unions,
  • the intelligence community (at least most of it),
  • Wall Street,
  • the Silicon Valley and
  • Hollywood.

They’re POWERFUL. They’re LOADED with money. And they’re DETERMINED to hold on to their PRIVILEGES at OUR expense.

The rest of us, middle and lower class mortals of every race and religion, need to UNITE and DEFEAT the deep state. We have a President who’s literally putting HIS LIFE ON THE LINE every single day so that WE can have a better life.

Trump’s life was marvelous before he ran for president. Ours was terrible – and we didn’t have any hope of keeping our freedoms, our religions or our money. The president is a man who selflessly gave up his life of semi-privacy JUST to make sure he did something GOOD for us, the ‘deplorables’. Let’s make sure we thank him for that. Let’s make sure we thank GOD for the opportunity. But let’s also make sure we continue preaching and teaching.

The only reason I went from liberal 15 years ago to conservative today is people like Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity – they’re the preachers who convinced me the real enemy is big government… the deep state.

And as we preach conservatism, let’s not forget who is in control: GOD. Let’s not forget that the only reason we even have a free country is because God has ordained it.

God is sovereign – He chose Trump and He allowed Obama. Nothing happens without God ordaining it.

If you’re a Christian you know that God is sovereign. You know that nothing is a surprise to God. This is a difficult concept to digest because some people wonder if God is Sovereign, how can there be evil? Is God not as merciful as the Bible says or is He not as sovereign that He can’t stop evil?

Before I answer the questions above, let me say this: God is SOVEREIGN and GOD IS JUST.

As far as God being merciful, let me explain this principle: if God were to impart justice on all of us, we’d all go to hell, because we’ve all sinned. And don’t tell me you’ve never sinned – you may not have stolen anything or killed anyone, but if you’ve ever lied or even had sinful THOUGHTS, then, my dear friend, YOU’VE SINNED.

But thanks to His GRACE, He has decided to show us mercy by saving some of us - those of us who BELIEVE in Jesus Christ. God is just always.

OK, so if God is merciful and bad things still do happen to us, believers, is he not fully sovereign, then?

The answer is: God is sovereign too.

He ALLOWS for bad things to happen for a PURPOSE. We may not know what that purpose is, but we are really in no position to challenge Him simply because God is God. You don’t challenge God. He gave you life and He can take it away if so He wishes. He gave his only begotten son, Jesus, so that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. God LOVES you – but you have to TRUST Him.

God allowed Obama, the Clintons, Pelosi and all the rest of the globalists to make our lives miserable… at least for a while. Why? I don’t know but I can tell you this: Obama and Pelosi brought me a lot closer to God than Trump did. In fact, Trump has had no impact on my relationship with God whatsoever. But thanks to Obama and Hillary I PRAYED MORE during election night 2016 than in any other election before.

Evil people or difficult situations tend to have that effect – in search for answers, you draw closer to God. So be grateful for those nasty people and situations in your life.

So preach, my friend. Preach about the goodness of conservatism. Preach about the opportunity – perhaps the last one – we have now with Trump in the White House. And preach about God – the Creator of the Universe! Pray that He gives us another chance to be more holy…

Psalm 135:6
Whatever the LORD pleases, He does, in heaven and in earth, in the seas and in all deeps.

Trump: The People’s Champion

3/15/2017

Picture

When Donald Trump was elected in 2016, it was with the idea that he would return the country to the people. Part of that includes fighting back against the establishment on both sides of the aisle. Mostly, fighting the Left. And he’s doing just that only 2 months into his presidency.

You might’ve heard on the news that Trump is accusing his predecessor Barack Obama of wire-tapping his phone lines. This is somewhat of a counter-measure against the Russia hacking accusations. How, you may ask? Well, here’s the thing. How would news organizations know what Trump was saying to foreign leaders if no one was wire-tapping his phones? How would they know that Trump was doing ANYTHING with Russia unless he was being spied on?

You see, unless Trump was being ILLEGALLY SPIED UPON, there’s no way any news media could credibly say that Trump worked alongside Russia to win the election. So either the news media lied when they said Russia hacked the election, or Obama illegally spied on the new president, which could land him in jail.

If Trump can successfully prove that Obama did in fact illegally wire-tap him, then we can have the first president ever to send a former president to jail, and none other are more deserving of it than Obama… well, maybe Bill, but that’s another story. In any case, what this means is that Trump will look to do what no other Republican has the guts to do: FIGHT BACK against an elite establishment and neutralize them. Now, in said elite establishment are plenty of Republicans too, so it’s no wonder none of them want to fight. But part of the reason Trump was elected was because he was going to fight and we knew he would fight. He’s not a politician. He’s not financially tied to anyone in Washington. He doesn’t owe anyone any favors. He’s the very definition of an outsider and truly is the people’s champion, because he’s the closest person in all of Washington to the people.

And that’s evident in the multiple rallies that Trump’s held. He has the people on his side. And he listens to them. It matters more to him what we have to say about him than what politicians or the news media say about him. At no point did he believe in any of the polls that had him losing the election because he knew they were fake. In fact, he’s coined the term ‘fake news’ simply because he didn’t believe what the news organizations had to say about him… and neither did we.

The American people are on his side because we got tired of what Washington was doing, particularly with what Obama was doing, and we knew that Hillary would’ve done more of the same. The people were on his side because we believed we were losing the country and we wanted it back. And when looking at Trump back in the early days of the race for the nomination, people agreed with what Trump was saying and related to him. They felt a connection with Trump. They knew that this was the guy they wanted in the White House. That they NEEDED in the White House if they were ever to get the country back.

That’s why, even today, even though news media organizations sometimes say that we’re getting tired of Trump and his support is faltering, that even more people cling to Trump and show their support. They want to proclaim that they will never drop support for Trump unless he doesn’t deliver on his campaign promises. The people are with him and always will be with him as long as he does the things he promised to do. As long as the people feel they are getting the country back and we’re back on the right track.

And God has masterfully made it so we would get the right person at the right time. In 2012, I’ll be honest, I thought Romney was the right guy to undo the things Obama was doing and was planning on doing. But God knew what was in Romney’s mind and heart. He knew that Romney wasn’t going to do much to help this country return on the right track. He knew that if Romney were to win in 2012, it was all the more likely that Hillary would’ve won in 2016. Or even the socialist nut Bernie Sanders. So He decided that Obama would win then so that Trump could win now.

In 2012, I didn’t know why God allowed Obama to win, but in 2016, I found out why. And I’m thankful.

Isaiah 55:8-9
“’For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways’, declares the Lord. ‘As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.’”
