CNN’s latest attempt to, once again, blame Russia for interfering in the election, is that Russia has been using Pokemon GO to get Trump elected… somehow. For the adults in the room, Pokemon GO is an app where people can walk around their city or town, searching for Pokemon monsters to capture. It’s basically a real life version of any Pokemon game you may have played as a child, or have bought for your children. Now, how exactly did Russia interfere with the election using Pokemon GO? Well, not even the CNN video explains it. The video titled: “Russian meddling extended to Pokemon GO” doesn’t even really mention Russian meddling after the beginning… No, seriously. Stop laughing. They really forgot the topic of conversation here. Here’s what the video covered: CNN host Brooke Baldwin began by saying: “We have exclusive new details about the Russian-linked effort to meddle in the 2016 presidential election”. Then, she cuts to the guest, Dylan Byers, and mentions that he’s been tracking meddling efforts across social media… and then, that’s where the Russia part of the story ends. Dylan Bryers begins by focusing on an account on the Pokemon GO app called “Don’t Shoot Us” and says it was “posing as a part of the Black Lives Matter movement” and that the account used multiple platforms across social media and the app to reinforce outrage over police brutality. He said that the page promoted a Pokemon GO competition that had its participants go to places of alleged police brutality, capture a Pokemon there, and rename it after the alleged victim. He then mentions how the users clearly tried to fan the flames of outrage with this controversial topic and that they were very sophisticated with how they were organizing these things… and then, the video ends. Yep, not even a mention as to how Russia is involved in any way. The topic and literal title was about how Russia used the app and social media to interfere in the election, and they STILL had nothing about it. THEY DIDN’T EVEN TALK ABOUT IT! The focus was Black Lives Matter and alleged police brutality, not even a mention of the election except for when the host mentioned it to segue into the story! AND THE STORY DOESN’T EVEN TALK ABOUT IT! But let’s pretend CNN isn’t completely incompetent here and let’s say they did mention Russia at least ONCE during the “exclusive details”. How exactly would Russia use Pokemon GO to put Trump in the White House? The target audience for the app is mostly children, with some young adults wanting to live out their childhood dreams of catching Pokemon. Children don’t exactly vote, and, unless Russia somehow put subliminal messages that got Democrats to not go vote, I don’t see how Pokemon GO kept people from voting. I think we’re seeing a new low for the MSM. How would it make sense to say that Russia interfered with the election using an app about walking around and capturing Japanese monsters? And then, they don’t even mention it in the story? That’s very pathetic and pitiful. That’s not journalism, that’s comedy, right there. They are so incompetent that they decided to run that story and make it about Russian collusion. If anything, it sounds more like a Democrat strategy than anything else. If the user encouraged people to visit sites of police brutality and honor the criminal victims, how is that going to get TRUMP in the White House? If anything, it would’ve gotten HILLARY more votes. The Left is the one that sides with these criminal victims, not the Republicans. So, as you can see, this story is so full of holes it’s basically the equivalent to journalistic Swiss cheese. And I’m not the only one who notices the ignorance and incompetence in the story. One Twitter user shared a photo of Vladimir Putin fishing, photoshopped to look as though he caught one of the Fish type Pokemon in the game and captioned it: “CNN: ‘Pokemon Go’ was used by Russian trolls to sow discord on social media.” Another Twitter user said: “I was gonna vote in November but then Russian Bulbasaur (another Pokemon) told me ‘not to Pokemon go to the polls after all’ (a reference to Hillary’s pathetic pun, calling for people to “pokemon go” to the polls to vote) and I foolishly assented.” The point is that this story was so insanely ridiculous that it just begged for ridicule. And I (along with many others) happily obliged. But ridicule isn’t the only thing to talk about here. A Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman absolutely tore into CNN for this. “According to CNN logic, African Americans shape their public stance playing Pokemon”. That completely destroys CNN, doesn’t it? She called out the network for being racist, with them essentially saying that Pokemon GO influences black people’s vote. I honestly didn’t see that one coming. Finally, an attorney with specializations in International and Criminal Law mentioned what I said earlier in the article: that CNN doesn’t even mention how Russia meddled in the elections. “It does not even talk about the election. In fact, CNN has been crying from the hilltops about Russia meddling in the elections from day one. We don’t know what’s happened. We do not know the facts, the evidence of this ‘CNN investigation’. For CNN to be targeting or highlighting something like this as breaking news, specifically highlighting any elements from Pokemon GO within the investigation without providing any evidence, is actually kind of indicative of how little facts they’ve had and how much they are trying to continue to paint this election as a big Russian conspiracy.” An excellent way to sum it up. And a great example of how the Left is losing their minds. I’ve already mentioned in a previous article how the Left is losing their minds, and this is just further proof. They are actually looking for evidence of collusion within A CHILDREN’S APP! They are so infatuated with finding any sort of evidence that they will look ANYWHERE for anything on the subject. And the best part of it was how they didn’t really even talk about it in the end. It’s as though they realized just how stupid that sounds, but didn’t have time to go with a different story, so they had to roll with it. Maybe that’s giving CNN too much credit. They probably don’t realize how ridiculous it sounded and appeared. But it’s interesting just how insane the Left seems to be getting. Trump messed them up bad! Here’s some Biblical advice for CNN: James 1:5: “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.”
