One of the largest news pieces this past week has been the bombing of one of Assad’s military bases in Syria. As such, the mainstream media felt compelled to bring in a survivor of a similar attack Assad carried out in 2013. Kassem Eid, the aforementioned survivor, was interviewed by Brook Baldwin on CNN. During the interview, Baldwin clearly tried to get Eid to bash Trump for his strike on Syria, but what he did next was unbelievable… Mr. Kassem Eid went out of his way to THANK the president for his action against Assad. To quote the man: “… I cried out of joy… I thank God... We’ve been asking for protection… for more than 6 years… For the first time, we see Assad held accountable… I felt grateful for President Trump. I felt grateful for the United States.” To her credit, Baldwin managed to maintain a straight face through all this, but this is clearly not the way this interview should’ve gone. There was no way Mr. Eid should’ve felt grateful to Trump in the LEAST, evidenced by her follow up question: ”… This is a man who doesn’t want Syrians to come into this country with this refugee ban.” And proceeds to play a clip of Crooked Hillary saying that “we can’t in one breath speak of protecting Syrian babies and in the next, close America’s doors to them.” Baldwin then asked, with a small smirk that’s noticeable for a second, how Mr. Eid sees that. But then, that’s where things turned for the worst for CNN. Because he actually went out of his way to BASH Obama for his inaction against Assad and bashed the media for being HYPOCRITES. The quote: “With all due respect… I didn’t see each and every person who was demonstrating after the travel ban, I didn’t see you (CNN) three days ago when people were gassed to death. I didn’t see you in 2013… I didn’t see you raising your voice against President Obama’s inaction in Syria… that made us refugees get kicked out of Syria. If you really care about refugees, if you really care about helping us, please help us stay in our country. We don’t want to come to the United States… we want to stay in our country. With all due respect this is hypocrisy, if you really care, help us stay in our country. We don’t want to become refugees… help us establish safe zones… help us stay in our country…” It was at this point that Baldwin had had enough and wanted to end the interview very quickly. Mr. Eid asked for a couple more seconds to once again thank Trump, saying that what Trump did was “amazing” and that the attack was “a powerful message for hope”, he asked the president to “Please don’t stop… Please continue to take out more of Assad’s air forces.” Those are some amazing words coming from someone that the Left didn’t expect to say. In their minds, Mr. Eid was going to bash Trump for attacking the base, they themselves were doing it. But this man comes in and does the PRECISE OPPOSITE of what they were expecting. He starts praising Trump and thanking him. He starts saying how Obama’s inaction in Syria caused this turmoil and refugee crisis. How the left wasn’t there to ask them about the chemical attacks. Or how they weren’t raising their voice in concern over Obama’s inaction. And finally, saying how if they really cared (which they don’t), they would help the refugees to NOT be refugees in the first place and help them return and stay home. In this man’s eye, Trump in one day did more for the people of Syria than Obama did in the last 6 years of his presidency. Mr. Eid had every right to thank God for Mr. Trump and his action against Assad. I thank God for that as well. A few days ago, I wrote an article on what the big deal was about Trump bombing the base and why supposed Trump ‘supporters’ were disappointed with the president. Well, Mr. Eid made the attack a big deal, proving my title wrong in that sense, as it was a big deal for him, and made it known to the world that what Trump did was a good thing that they had been waiting for for 6 years, that they never got with Obama. You see, God has ways of making things work out. For the Trump ‘supporters’ who believed doing that was a mistake, now you have a different perspective to look at the strike and see that it was good. God placed a man in the White House who wasn’t going to stand by and watch, and even LIE to people, as civilians are massacred in one of the most inhumane ways possible. Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
